Question about Computers & Internet
I have an OMNITECH 8.5 DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME .MOD.36972/SER.1138911817. Not been used for a while, so went to turn it on-nothing.Just a black screen. The AC adaptor lights up green, so I assume it is working. Tried the on/off switch several times. Can I do something myself to try to fix it. Is it worth taking to electonics repair? What do you suggest? My email is email@example.com Thanks,Diane

First try pressing the "DISP" button. If that doesn't work, try downloading a picture. Is the picture also black? If so,
it's probably a defective CCD imager. Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
Applicable cameras include:

SOURCE: laptop won't turn on
The blinking orange battery light generally indicates that the battery isn't working properly, usually going out and not charging properly. In this case, since the adapter will not power the machine without the battery, and it should, I'm going to say that the adapter is going out and not getting the proper amount of power to the system. Try replacing the adapter. Be sure to replace it with a Dell replacement, the Targus brand universal adapters do not work well with Dell machines, and in most cases won't work at all.

A remote for a digital photo frame? Are you sure it is an Omnitech Photo Frame? Mine did not come with one, but here is what you can do. Just load your pictures onto an SD chip and put it in the slot in the back of the frame. Plug in the power cord and then press the exit button on the back to get out of their sample pictures. Just play around with the OK - Exit and arrows on the back of the frame and you will be able to set up a slide show with the pictures from your mem chip. If you want more help you can go to: www.product-support-omnitechnology.com or call them at 1-866-540-8831 with questions.

That all depends upon what is wrong with the frame. I would start by contacting the manufacturer since there are no standardized parts for the frames. Each is made to or for the specifications of the manufacturor and parts may not be interchangeable.

Testimonial: "I bought it at Circuit City (closed) and the manufacturer doesn't even list it as one of their products."
First check your default routing. If that is o.k.you can get it repaired at a Digidesign authorized service center such as Advanced Musical Electronics, 310-559-3157. firstname.lastname@example.org
