SOURCE: Ipod won't sync new songs

I would recommend making sure each desired song is selected by Checking the check box next to the songs. If this is already done and the songs still will not go onto the ipod; make sure they play in itunes. I hope this is just the answer you needed. If not please do let me know

Restarting your computer is often the solution when your iPod fails to sync with your iTunes music library. But if this fails, there are other troubleshooting steps to take.

Recharge your iPod via a USB cable connected to your computer or AC adapter. b> Click the help menu in iTunes and check for updates. Follow the onscreen prompts to download and install the latest version of the software. Open the new version of iTunes. Click the name of your iPod in the source list and check for updates under the summary tab to update your iPod. Attempt to sync your iPod with iTunes. Slide your iPod's hold switch to the hold position and then to off. Press and hold the menu and center buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears to reset your iPod. Open iTunes on your computer and reconnect your iPod to try to sync it with iTunes. Restart iPod service b> Close iTunes and make sure your iPod is disconnected from the computer. Click the 'start' button. Click 'run' if using Windows XP. Type 'services.msc' in the run box in XP and in the search box in the start menu in Windows 7 and Vista. Press 'enter.' Scroll through the list and double-click on 'iPod service.' Click the 'stop' button and leave the properties window open. Connect your iPod to the computer. Open 'my computer' or 'computer' and look for your iPod listed in the devices with removable storage section. Click the 'start' button in the iPod Service's properties window. Open iTunes to attempt to sync your iPod. Close the iPod Service's properties window once your iPod has finished syncing. Resolve "Original File could not be Found" Double-click the name of a song in the iTunes program that failed to sync to your iPod. Click 'yes' or 'locate' to the message asking you if you want to locate the file. Navigate to the folder or directory location where the song is stored on your computer. Double-click the song file to select it and add it back to iTunes. Reconnect your iPod to the computer and open iTunes to restart the syncing process. IPOD NANO SONGS ARENT WORKING!!!

Test the songs that are not playing on the iPod in iTunes and see if the original file is still playable on iTunes if the song still plays re-sync your iPod could be when iTunes copied the song it must have failed or timed out, if that fails re-syncing try restoring you iPod Nano i have had this problem before and I just re-synced and it worked fine!

I pod touch while sincing new data, old is getting erased

Hi, I think you are using Itunes to Sync your IPOD-T.

If u r using Itunes Then u shouldn't delete any thing from ur ITUNES... Because, Sync is a option which will check the contents of your ipod and Itunes... If u erase anything from your itunes, then it will erase the same in ur IPod as well.... So U shouldn't delete anything from ur itunes....

Other option would be Manual Sync option... Where u have to drag and drop the contents from ur Itunes. Everytime....

Let me know, whether u want to manually add contents to ur ipod. so tat i can send u the settings?

Ipod nano not show (not play) songs

iTunes includes several options to automatically or manually sync videos to your iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd generation), or iPod (5th generation). Read this article to learn more about these two methods.
Products Affected iTunes, iPod nano (3rd generation), iPod classic, iPod (5th generation)
Syncing videos automatically Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Music tab. Select the checkbox labeled "Sync music" and verify that the "Include music videos" checkbox is also selected. You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists.

Movies can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Movies tab and select the option to sync all movies, selected movies, or a certain number recent unwatched movies.

TV Shows can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the TV Shows tab and select the option to sync all TV shows or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent or unwatched.

Video Podcasts can be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Podcasts tab select the option to sync all podcasts or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent, new or unplayed.

Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the content you've selected to your iPod. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the iPod settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window.

The iTunes LCD will display the sync progress and notify you when the iPod sync is complete.

To disconnect your iPod, select it in the Source list and click the eject icon.
Syncing videos manually If your prefer not to automatically sync video content to your iPod, you can setup manual syncing.
Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.

In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab. Select the "Manually manage music and videos" option. This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting.

Click Apply. To manually add music videos, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under LIBRARY in the Source list. Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon in the Source list. To add a playlist, select it in the Source list and drag it onto your iPod in the same ways as a video or song.

When you are ready disconnect your iPod, select it in the Source list and click the eject icon.

Dont know how to put songs on my ipod

Apple intended iTunes to be used to sync your ipod. There is a windows version available on www.apple.com/itunes
Also, if you are syncing songs, make sure they are in a compatible format. (ie not .wma files)
