SOURCE: speakers won't work when Ipod is docked

The problem is that Atlec Lansing used a low quality (piece of ****) plug/interface for the dock. If you pull the top of the ipod forward while it is pressed fully onto the docking station, you'll get a surprise. It will work. This problem stumped me for days. Now, the next question is how much tension is the proper amount not to degrade the cheap plug further or damage the ipod itself.

Cheers,
Jeff

It could be that some dust or something has got inside the dock and giving a bad connection. Check both devices for damage to the dock connections.

I haven't played my wii in a while and have just plugged it all in and my controllers are not working. They don't seem to be charging in the docking station, their individual docks are not lighting up...

Yes they should light up blue when they are charging.
Double check and make sure your docking station is still plugged in and turned on.

Most Docking stations are third party accessories, meaning, they were not manufactured by Nintendo. Some of them do not work very well.

If all else fails, remove the rechargeable battery pack from the Wii Remote and put regular AA batteries inside of it. The Wii Remote should work just fine.

Personally, I prefer to use rechargeable AA batteries rather than charging packs or docking stations. The charge packs/docking stations just never seem to work as well as they're supposed to. The rechargeable AA's work great and they're much more versatile since they're not limited to use in the Wii.

Remove the docking station: Universal Docking Stations: Disconnect the docking station's USB cable from the computer.
