This would depend on the errors, if ever you do get error messages.

Incorrect Disc:

  • Try to unplug the power for at least 3 mins then plug it back in and try again.
  • Clean the lens of the player
It could also be the disc that the player does not recognize. If it is a DVD containing video files (not in the usual DVD format) that can be played on a PC, it may not recognize the format of those files. Check the disk if it has too much scratches. Try other DVDs if it would play just to isolate if it is the player or the discs.

Remote menu button not working

Sometimes you can enter a code that will work nearly all the buttons, but is not the correct code for your DVD player. You should try other codes. But sometimes a universal remote will NOT work every function.

How can I unlock the Regional Code on my Toshiba SD-V392?

A lot of DVD players can be unlocked by using an event sequence. For example, open dvd draw, close the dvd draw, open it it again, put a number in with the remote and hit 0. If you can find an instruction sequence like that it's a lot simpler and easier.

I need to dezone my Toshiba SD-V392 !!!!

You can't dezone it.

This is why they put zones in the units. Blame the record and movie companies.

99% of dvd players cannot be dezoned. Do a search on the net for a dvd player that can be dezoned and go buy it.
