SOURCE: rigid wts2000l WEt saw is not sending water to

Hello frum..... Check the plastic tubing to be sure that it is connected to the water pump. Also check the pump itself to be sure that the bottom of it is in the water. If all is connected and still not working disconnect the pump and water tube from the saw and immerse it in a bucket of clean water to see if the pump will pump water or if the pump is burned out. If the pump is just not pumping at all you may have to replace it.

Now here is a trick of the trade. Do not use the dirty water to recycle through the pump. Instead always put the pump in a bucket of clean water and have a second bucket catching the water as it overflows from the water tray.. This way you never put muddy water on the tile, you never use gritty water which in itself grinds down the blade and you never send gritty water into the pump which will shorten it's life. Joe

Thanks for choosing fixya!

SOURCE: where is the blade brake on the miter saw

The brake on electric motor driven tools is the field & armature. When running the switch provides power to both sides/poles of the field through the brushes and armature. When you release the switch half of the field is powered pulling the armature to a stop. If your bladed continues to spin when the switch is released, you need to replace the switch. The Ridgid part number for the proper switch is 503317000.

Changing blade scroll saw

Loosen the knob at the rear of the top arm - turn it counterclockwise several turns. The blade should now be loose. Push the "blade end" of the top arm down slightly with one hand while you unhook the top of the blade. Lower the blade a little to unhook it from the bottom arm.

Replace the blade. Hook it onto the lower arm first - you can look underneath to see what you're doing. The blade's teeth should point DOWNWARD - it's easy to accidentally install it the wrong way, so check that now. Again push down slightly on the end of the upper arm, then hook the top of the blade into the upper arm's blade holder. It should how stay in place, but loosely.

Now return to that tensioning knob at the top rear. Tighten it slowly until the blade is BARELY tight, not loose. Tighten the knob 1/2-turn to one full turn tighter to tension the blade.

Which way does the nut turn to loosen blade on a luds mitre saw

On any saw blade, you will loosen the nut (or bolt) in the direction that the teeth of the blade are pointed. This is because any saw must be designed so that the force of the material being cut pushes against the blade in the direction that would tighten the blade. So, on a miter saw with the blade on the right, when viewing the blade from the right the teeth are pointing counter-clockwise (or left), so you loosen to the left. On the other hand, a radial arm saw or a circular saw where the blade turns clockwise, loosening will be to the right. Good luck.

How do you set the points and the coil in a old 10 hp tecumseh snow blower

turn the crankshaft until the points are open, then use a .010 feeler gauge or a business card to place between the contacts of the points. then close the points, by loosening the screw that holds them in place, until they snugly touch the card or feeler gauge blade. the coil adjustment will require the same feeler gauge blade or card. loosen the the two screws that hold the coil in place and place the card or blade between the flywheel and coil legs. turn the flywheel until the magnets pull the coil into the flywheel then tightened the screws and remove th card or gauge blade.

How do I lock the spindle in order to change the blade?

As long as the threads on the arbor and the nut are in good shape, you don't really have to hold the arbor from turning, just the blade. Use a block of wood in front of the blade with the blade raised all of the way. Put the wood down in recess in the table in front of the blade and just pry against the blade. This works almost as well on the back of the blade when you tighten the nut. When you are tightening, the teeth are not pointing to your advantage, but you don't need to tighten the snot out of it.
