Question about Acer Aspire AS55514200 Notebook
By default the keyboard should be on.
Go to control panel---> go to keyboard (if you have windows 7 you can type keyboard).
then go to hardware tab. It should list your laptop keyboard. Below figure shows mine.
If there is nothing there then your keyboard is not physically connected to the laptop.
Remove the screws behind and check whether the bus wire from the keyboard to the motherboard is connected.

Well now you should be good to go. Restart the machine.
