The lug is under the mower. There should be a square plug that is the oil drain plug. Disconnect the spark plug first then remove the oil drain plug. You should have the muffler facing up because oil will get into the cylinder and cause blue smoke when the engine starts if you don't.

My frigidaire gas dryer will not heat

Good Morning Margie,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire gas dryer heating. I also see that the vent is plugged. You definitely do not want that vent plugged. Your dryer needs proper ventilation in order for it to work correctly. The reason it might not be heating is due to the fact that that vent is plugged and is not getting enough ventilation. Unplug that vent, make sure that there is gas going to the appliance, and that the gas supply valve is open.

-Best Regards-
WP

Takes approx three 60 minute cycles to dry a medium size load. Vent pipe and filter is clean.

The house exhaust vent is plugged and needs to be cleaned out. To test, remove vent from dryer and run a load. If dryer works normally, it is your house exhaust vent that is plugged.

No heat

Suprisingly enough, dryers that are not heating more often than not have a plugged outlet to the venting. Pull your dryer out, remove the vent tubing and make sure that it is not plugged. Also make sure that the opening in the dryer is not plugged leading to the venting.

Need to cycle three times before clothes dry

morethan likely your vent is plugged with lint. the vent should be cleaned yearly to prevent fires and to provide maximum efficiency. move yoy dryer out and disconnect the vent from the dryer and inspect the hose for blockages. it can also be internally in the dryer along the channel the heat is vented through. clean out all the lint and try again. usually this fixes the problem. especially long vents or angles in the vent are more likely to plug up so remove those if possible after you clean it out. good luck. always unplug the unit while working on it.

HI your machine would have been delivered with a blanking plug in the pump. You will need to remove this and fit a vented pump or your pump will build up too much pressure inside.

Maytag MDE8600AYW takes way too long drying clthes

either your house vent is plugged, or the vent in the dryer by the blower is plugged. when the vent is plugged, even partially, the moisture is not leaving the dryer. It will take a long time to dry, and the top of the dryer will get hot when the vent is plugged. Clean the house vent and check down below the lint trap by the blower, then it will dry fine again.
