I need to know which wires to connect to on a Bryant A/C 561c

You need to check at the indoor unit to see how the condenser wire is wired in. Remember. just because a wire is red does not mean it goes to R. Your three connections will go to R, C & Y but no one could tell you what color goes where without looking at your inside unit.

According to the specifications here: http://dms.hvacpartners.com/docs/1009/public/01/pds561c.18.10.pdf , all Bryant 561C air conditioners are 10 SEER. The 048 model has a 4 ton nominal cooling capacity.

The blue wire from the Ac goes to the y2 on the board for the furnace the yellow and brown goes to c on the board for the furnace and the last wire goes to y1 on the board for the furnace

Brown is always active, blue is always neutral. But yellow or yellow/green is usually an earth. Sometimes on appliances yellow is used as a signal wire so if that is your only option then I would just run with that. If you trip your circuit breaker after turning it on then it was a earth and your back to square one

The reason for using the quad, is so that if any one of them trips, they all trip. GE used to sell lever covers that would join the levers together. I don't know if they still do. And I don't know if the Bryant breaker is JUST 4 single poles with their levers connected together.

First thing is to turn off the switch on the side of the furnace, next remove the old thermostat and the wires from it. On the new thermostat you should have y, c,w,g,r therminals. The yellow wire goes to the Y terminal, the white wire goes to the W terminal, the red wire goes to the R terminal, the green wire goes to the G terminal and the C is comonly not used.

This should help you. You need to know if your thermostat is powered by the unit or independently and which way your reversing valve switches (I,m not sure on a Bryant, but probably Your old O wire goes to your new O terminal. They should pretty much match up, the new stat just has more options. Thermostat wiring

Check the outside fan and make sure it rotates freely. If it doesn't spin freely it needs to be replaced. If it does spin freely then check the capacitor. If the capactitor is OK the check the fan motor windings for continuity with an ohmmeter. Let me know what you find.

Typically thermostats only have connections for two wires. All the switching and power control is done in the unit not the thermostat. A thermostat normally runs on low voltage, about 24 vac and only makes a connection for the rest of the unit. It also does not matter which wire you hook to which terminal.
