My 1st gen ipod touch backlight doesn't turn on. I tried to turn my lightness up but still their is not light. the ipod works great though but the light doesnt work
slam it on floor 2 times n MAKE GOOD IT DOESNT BREAK THAN BLOW ON IT N TA TA TA TA ITS FIX BELIEVE IF YUH WANT 2 CUASE MY LIGHT IS VERRY BRIGHT NOW......
i don't know if this will work for you. I had the same problem with mine and i read somewhere that u need to either blow really hard in the bottom where you connect the sync cable or use a can of compressed air and it will clear dust off the place where the brightness is hooked up to the motherboard. After blowing put iPod in sleep mode for about 5 minutes and then turn back on. If there is no light then go to settings>backlight and then make it go all the way up. Might Work
To turn the Backlight on, move to the Main menu, select Backlight, and click the Select button. The Backlight will come on and your iPod's world will be a lot brighter. After the current backlight time passes, the Backlight will turn off automatically.
