Question about Electrical Supplies
#1) Have you checked the fuse for the brake lights? Check it, if bad, replace, if not
#2) Have you checked the bulbs? Not knowing what year truck you have kind of changes this part, it the brake and turn signal bulbs are the same bulb, do the turn signals light up? If no, the bulbs are bad, replace the bulbs; if yes, go back to step #1 and double check the fuse.
#3) there is a contact switch at your brake peddle; you can try jumping the 2 terminals to see it the brake lights will work; if they do, it's a bad brake light switch, replace it, there is no rebuilding them. If they don't work after jumping the switch, it's a problem with power to the switch, back to #1 check the fuse.
