Question about NetGear : WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, RETAIL (DSNGWG111)
Recently added to two computers to our wireless network with WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0. No problems with one pc but having problems with second pc. The pc with problems has USB 1.0 and I am wondering if this is the culprit.
With the NetGear software I can see our network and insert the WEP password and it searches through the channels and finds our network... but then it skips over our channel (11) and keeps going through the channel search.
Should I install a USB 2.0 card? Other hints or tips?
I would ensure that the product is operational by swapping it with the other WG111, then ensure that you have the card setup properly, make sure you have the lastest drivers from Netgear, I have fixed some problem with the WG111 in this fashion. If that fails then I would try upgrading to a 2.0 usb. i'll try to see if I can create this with and old machine I'll keep you posted
