How do you hook a sega mk-1631 to a hd tv? - Sega Genesis Console

Depending on how you are looking it up, you would need to be on channel 3 or 4 on cable or antanna if it's hooked up on the RF. If you are using the yellow and white and you don't have a yellow port put it in the green port. But the best why to get it hooked up is by HDretrovision cables, it will give you the best picture. But the cables are not cheap.

they have videos on Youtube on how to hook Sega genesis version 1 2 and 3 consoles on up to a flat screen tv or any of the newer TV's. I just use a CRT style TV they are much easier to hook up old consoles too. Just buy a CRT tv type then.

I don't think they have an A/V cable.Back in the day they were using RF cables.It looks like a regular cable but has a grey or black box in the line.

GET AN OLDER TV
it saves all that time you use trying to hook it up to a new one..it doesnt even have to be that old just not a plasma or HD tv, its much MUCH easyer and saves lots of time, and mabie even money

There should be two plugs on the back of the sega. One for the power cord, and one for the audio/video cord. The audio/video cord is a coax cord with a little box in line. Hook your cable or antenna cable into the jack on the box and hook the end of the cable from the sega into your tv. There will be a switch on the sega or on the box somewhere that designates channel three or four, this is what channel your tv will need to be on to use the sega.

Looks as if Nesfixxa400 has never seen athe back of a Mastersystem 2, there is only an rf lead port!
so you are looking for a RF splitter
you can seach for the following
master system rf switch box
Megadrive 1 rf lead with switch box
I also remeber at a 99p shop seeing a 3 way TV switching box
search for MK-3088 on ebay (below) they are compatable

well the old and newer sega gennsis have diffrent cables, so i'd say by it its a great console
