What are the details for my guitar?

Your guitar was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USA on April 22nd, 1981.

It is probably the colour known as tobacco sunburst, and would be worth about US$2500 - $3500 depending on condition and the buyer.

This is from the Peavey website. It indicates a date between 2001-2003. I found a date from another source indicating 2003. They Fury IV is a nice instrument!

"Offset double cutaway solid body, 21-frets, Quilted Maple top, solid maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, two VFL internally-active pickups, 3-band active EQ, single master volume, mid, bass, and treble controls, satin chrome hardware, available in Trans. No sound

You would NOT use a stereo cable to plug in your guitar.

The stereo cable would carry the battery voltage back to the amp and MAYBE cause the fuse to blow.

You use a MONO instrument cable for your guitar.

The ring connection is use to complete the circuit to turn on the battery in most guitars.

Replace the fuse ONCE and get the proper instrument cable (NOT consumer audio cable) for your guitar.

If fuse blows again, take amp to shop for service.
