SOURCE: amp keeps blowing fuse

I have this same problem. You have blown the internal amp. I have had 2 of these do the same thing. There is nothing you can do but report it to infinity and try to get the unit replaced.

All the lights work except the dash lights. The 5 amp fuses keep blowing and if I put a 15 amp it doesnt blow but no dash lights

DASH HAS A SHORT CIRCUIT.DASH NEED REPLACING BUT CHECK FOR SHORTS IN THE WIRES TO DASH.DONT PUT A LARGER AMP FUSE IN A CIRCUIT TO KEEP FROM BLOWING FUSE BECAUSE IF FUSE DONT BLOW WIRES GET HOT IN THE CIRCUIT THAT HAS A SHORT IN IT AND CAUSE A CAR FIRE.

1982 gs1100gl tail light bulb burns out as soon as rpm increase

You are probably dealing with bad grounds or ground wires. If loosening and tightening/ unplugging and replugging in the wire connections does not fix it , you are probably dealing with a bad regulator/rectifier.

It keeps blowing the ECM Fuse, checked wiring but

My friend;
Try this;
  1. Did you insert same valued fuse i.e. { fuse rated 15APS with same fuse}.
  2. Check OP'S & voltage of the Alternator = 13.7 V DC - 14.8 V DC MAX.
  3. are you sure NO internal shorttings inside the ECM.

My honda blows my headlight fuse as I start to accelerate. Change fuses and checked wires. no luck

Hi and welocme to FixYa,

Offhand, check the wires & connectors for looseness, corrosion or pittings/burnt marks; scrape clean and tighten as necessary.

Should the wiring & connectors check out, then the voltage regulator could be suspect. This could be checked by measuring (with a voltmeter) the battery's voltage before start, on idle and while revving.  Compare readings: with engine off, battery voltage should be 12 + volts, on idle should be less than 13 volts and while revving should go high with a maximum of 14.5 volts or thereabouts. If the voltage is already high at idle or more than 15 while revving, then the voltage regulator would require replacement.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
