Dcs cm024ss microwave Controls work but microwave does not heat

Either the magnetron tube or it's high voltage power supply have failed These are the two most expensive components to replace and it may be more economical to replace the oven than to repair it.

My dcs mo-24-Ss microwave oven cannot heat the food after turn on, everything working fine other than no microwave come out

Assuming the turntable, inside light, and internal cooling fan all work when you press "Start" to cook, then I would suspect a bad magnetron, or a bad connection at the "FA" terminal of the magnetron.

If one or more of those three items do not work when you hit "Start", the I would suspect a bad door switch or mount.

The DCS MO24SS is essentially a rebranded Sharp R-530E-series microwave with different cosmetics and a higher price.

The service manual for the Sharp model is here.

The internal Sharp parts in the manual will interchange, but not the external cosmetic parts.

You can order Sharp parts from Encompass here.

Door won't open on dcs microwave oven

Only way out is to use good glue with a reenforced welding to strengthen the tab which will stand the strain. the other option is to replace the whole unit if the spare can be found or if this can be sourced from an old set.

The timer in my microwave runs down but the microwave will not come on. It's a DCS model # MO24SS

Your problem is almost certainly a bad secondary interlock (bottom door switch) or its mount.

See this text file on door switches.

The DCS MO24SS is essentially a rebranded Sharp R-530ES, just like the Dacor DMO2420S.

So the Dacor DMO2420 service manual (online here) will help you disassemble it and check it out.

I heard a pop and then i saw sparks inside the oven, the sparks were coming from what looks and feels like a paper cover inside the microwave

This sounds like the inner lining is coming off and alloying the metal interior to spark. You will need to repair the liner and this should fix your problem.

DCS - CMO24SS - 900 Watt - Microwave not Heating

If all appears to be running as its working but just no heat. Could be issue with magnetron. You could also have loose connections to magnetron or somewhere in high voltaged as well.

Need to replace melted carousel coupling

You need to remove the bottom cover if it's an over the range model.

If it's a counter top type, there should be a cover over the turntable motor.

On many Sharps, the turntable motor cover comes as an unseparated part of the bottom cover and you have to use sidecuts or snips to cut away the little tabs which hold it in place. Then when you are done, you use a screw to hold the cover back in place.

All this is best done with the microwave on its left side with the door opened, and the turntable and support removed. (Power off, of course).

Once the cover is off, you remove the two screws holding the motor, pull the motor out, then pull ou tthe old coupler.

Install the new coupler with one hand, and push the motor in place. Jiggle the couple as you do so it will mesh with the motor shaft.

Once it's in, replace the motor screws, replace the cover and you are done.
