Put new batteries in the thermostat. Make sure that the switch that power the furnace is in the "on" position. Sometimes people mistake that switch for a light switch and turn it off.

What does -AC on honeywell chronotherm III thermostat mean?

AC means "air conditioning." If the AC icon is showing on your thermostat it means that your air conditioning is activated and should come on when the temperature threshold you've set on the thermostat is reached.

For example, if you've set the temperature level to 78 degrees, when the house temperature goes above 78, usually by about two degrees, the air conditioner should cycle on to cool it back down to 78 degrees at which point it will then turn off.

This information should be in your air conditioning/heating system or thermostat owners manual. If you don't have the manual, you should contact your air conditioning dealer or your builder to secure a replacement. The manual is essential for proper operation and maintenance of your system.

Heat is working

Hmm... so is the heat running at the same time as the air conditioning or did you mean to say heat is not working? I could probably help you but I need more specific wording of your problem.
However if you just posted to say that your heat is working, then I say congrats cause its cold out there tonight. j/k.
Try to describe what happens when you turn on the thermostat, like does the blower come on and it just blows cold air or nothing happens at all or thermostat doesnt work ect. ect.
I'll be on for a little bit tonight if not I will check back for you in the morning. :)

Dometic air & analog thermostat control kit

Had one doing similar recently, and after a thunder & lightning storm. Nothing worked, but kept blowing 2 amp fuse in thermostat, when anything tried, heat or cool. Pulled plastic control box down from inside upper unit (AC) made sure breaker was off, took of plastic cover and smelled inside, and could smell burnt plastic smell. Replaced, control box, that got fan only working. Tried another thermostat , everything worked as it should. Turns out the lightning, or power surge, or whatever, shorted out the thermostat, and control box at same time.
