Friend i have same cell phone and i am also facing this problem but dont worry
go to network menu and select Automatic network that problem will be solved if not them show it in to nokia care

hello, i have problem with my nokia 5800 xpressmusic which just got repaired by nokia itself, but when i recieved it back and put my sim card which is t-mobile the reatilers from whom i purchsed this mobile from this mobile was only locked to t-mobile network. so when i put in my t-mobile sim into the mobile and turned it on the message i get on the screen is (sim card registration failed). so if any person any way for repairing or resolving this problem of mine. i would really appreciate it. so send me of how to resolve the problem plz conact me at my email address: email@example.com

Switch-off your phone. 1. Press and hold 3
keys; Green dial key, *
Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press
the power on/off to
swtich on the phone. Remember, do not let go the 3
press and hold
keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2.
After a few
minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone
back to original system and factory settting.

A friend of mine had the same problem. The 3.5mm headphone socket was playing up, thinking they were still plugged in. She plugged headphones in and give it a push and a wiggle, then took it out and now it works. Give it a try.
