Revealing the origonal web address of a TinyURL

The TinyURL.com is great for shortening web site addresses so that they can be delivered in a smaller content, but it also can be used to hide dangerous or unwanted content from a casual viewer until the real page opens up. By visiting Reverse Tinyurl you can lookup the shortened URL provided to you and see where it is really going; this gives you the option to not open that URL if the content at the destination site is objectionable to you. The wireless indicator wont light up so i cant go wireless ?

Hi Desmond

This does not appear to be an actual question!

You actually made a statement.

You need to find the IP address for your modem (e.g. 192.168.1.1) Use your Browser to gain access to this address, By typing in the IP adrs into the URL space at the top of the browser window.
Supply the modem password required for your home modem.
Then you have access to change settings to turn on the WiFi section. Change it's channel (1 to 13) and set the wifi password.

Need url to login into modem...

Hi,

I have worked with AT&T before and modem/routers we handled were:
  1. Motorola
  2. Speedstream
  3. 2Wire
For Motorola modem the URL is 192.168.1.254
For Speedstream it is 192.168.0.1
For 2wire it is 192.168.1.254

But, for you find out what URL to use, do these steps:
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Click on All Programs.
  3. Click on Accessories.
  4. Click on Command Prompt.

On Command Prompt (black window)
  1. Type in ipconfig.
  2. Hit Enter.
  3. Look for the Default Gateway.(usually in the format of 192.168.X.X)
  4. Whatever the Default Gateway is, that is how you can access your modem.
  5. Type the Default Gateway in your browser's address bar.
  6. Hit Enter and you're in.
Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day.

Unable to access advanced console of siemens c2110 adsl modem

If you device is just a Modem, there's no advance settings because it only acts as modem. It doesn't have a router function. Only devices with router function have that advance menu.

I have an at&t modem that I use to access the internet hooked up to my desktop computer and cannot remember the original internet connection passcode/key. how do i access this wireless connection on a new...

Ask the net what the URL is to your modem and then hook it back up to your desk top and use your browser to access the modem. It may have a hint or might come up with your pass code. You can always go out dial up and get the info

No access to set up modem or router

you might have configured your lan settings wrongly.

If your modem was setup for DHCP then you configure your lan to receive IP address automatically, DNS automatically.

If DHCP is disabled on the modem, you have to USE static IP Address for your lan ip and default gateway should be your modem default ip.

the default IP for modem is usually 192.168.1.1
if DHCP is disabled on the modem the sys ip is 192.168.1.3

So Configure your LAN setting as follow and Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address url.

Lan Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

click ok.
and type the above url, press enter the modem will ask you for username and password.

Good Luck.
