SOURCE: macbook pro start up problem

First remove the battery, then plug it into your AC adapter. Hold the power button for 5 seconds or until you either hear and beep or the activity light on the front of your laptop lights up. Start up normally.

My battery does not seem to want to charge

Camera batteries do not last the lifetime of the camera. Its lifetime depends on usage and the number of times it's been charged. You may simply just need a new battery

Take the phone, computer, and cable to the Genius Bar in your closest Apple Store and ask them to look at it. This is hard to diagnose through text; they will be much better equipped to help you.

Macbook pro won't start/charge

It appears as if your power supply is dead. The power supply is inline with your power cord and has a light on it, if I am correct. Since the green light was dim, then went out all together on your power supply, that would indicate that it would not take a charge any longer, and the dim light, down to none, was the rest of your battery draining. Assuming you tried multiple power outlets, my suggestion would to borrow a power source from a friend and check it, or go to best buy/Apple store and have them use one of theirs to see if it comes on.

The fan on my macbook has turned on and the battery icon shows an X when it appears. Also when the charger is plugged in the light is a very dim green.

The green light on your power adapter is normal, this indicates that it is charging the battery. The fan within the MacBook is controlled by an internal heat sensor. The fan inside will speed up and slow down based on the internal temperatures.
The X icon for where the battery is, indicates that the battery is not connected or the system doesn't recognize the battery anymore. Meaning, you will need to buy a new battery for your computer.

My Vector Vec157 Flashlight won't Charge...

It is the battery, I have a similiar Vector light for a few years and tried re-charging the battery but only the little LED light would come on. I have another Vector light, same model and switched batteries from the worjking one to the non-working one and now it works fine.

I then proceeded to purchase a new battery for the non'working one and when I arrived home I installed it and turned on the main light, still won't turn on, I tried the LED's, they work. I figured maybe the new battery needs a good charge so I plugged the charger in and charged the light for 12 hours, still no main light.

I guess the new battery is defective, so now I will return it and exchange it for another one.
