APC Smart-UPS 1500RM (sua1500rm) UPS System - charge lights flashing after changed battery

For APC smart-ups models, you need to do a UPS calibration after you change the battery. You need to change the UPS parameters to removed the flashing lights on the front panel of the UPS, usually you need to change the 0 parameter to its default state to remove the flashing lights.

The red light is on the SMART Board 580 and we need to fix the connection so it shows green but don't know how to do this.

Find "SMART Board Tools" or "SMART Board Tools 2011" on your computer. Select Control Panel > About Software and Product Support > Tools > Diagnostics. From the menu select Service and then Start.
If the red light does not change to green, try the following steps located located here: http://preview.tinyurl.com/3qggntc

How to reset and change the code

Go to this page:

http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/BDHHI/kwikset-smartcode

which is a PDF file of showing the installation instructions for the 909-15 lock. Starting at Step7 is how to change the battery (a really good idea at this time), followed by the programming instructions. Follow the steps carefully--very important!

Good luck!

How do I change the code?

Here's a link to the installation and programming instructions:

http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/BDHHI/kwikset-smartcode

I think I'd pull/replace the batteries (step 7) first of all. Pay close attention to step 8, where you determine how to program for the direction that your door opens, and the actual programming, step 9.
Good luck!

Smart key remote is slow acting and will not allow starting up the vehicle. Can the battery in the Smart key be replaced; and how? Does it have to be re-programmed?

Hello. Great question.

Yes, the battery can be the culprit, and it is easily changed.

Remove the metal key from the side of the smart key, and then split the casing of the smart key, via the slot. There is a small circular battery that you can remove and replace. Use the exact same battery.

No Re-programming is necessary. The smart key frequency is coded to the car. Changing the battery does not change the frequency.

Thanks for such a good question.

Is there a way disable smart key on the outside of the motorola razr v9m phone? Settings change from Vibrate to Silent often so I miss my calls

Try to find "personalize" setting of some kind, and then change the smart key to perform something else, so it doesn't go set silent mode. I am not familiar with your phone, but on RAZR v3 smart key activates camera. However you can change it to do something else. The steps would be different for your phone I assume, but if you need an example of the general steps, there are videos on www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics category on Motorola RAZR v3 and there is a chapter on "Chaging Shortcuts"

Hope it gives you some ideas
