Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer

Kenmore Super 80 washer fills at a trickle

I'm almost certain the problem is with the fill valve but I'm not sure how to access it for replacement. The hoses hook up in a vertical cut out in the back of the machine and the metal sheet on the back of the machine is one piece from the floor to the top of the control panel with no hinge for lifting the top. Can the valve be accessed from the hole in the back? It seems like a tight fit.

Before I did all that check the fill hoses, some have screens inside them that may be clogged with hard water build up.

Try eserviceinfo.com/index as per your 80 series. There are various downloads there that may help access the water level sensor which is most likely the problem.

I have a Kenmore Series 80 Washing machine that takes about 3 hours to fill up with water. The water just trickles in. Have checked to make sure the hose isn't stopped up. ANything else I can do?

probably have junk stuck in the water valve, most likely you'll need to change it out or see if you can take the screens out of the back of the valve and clean them,on some you can,let me know what you find, also i would take the water lines off, stick them in the washer and open the water valve to see what kind of pressure you have and to clean out the water pipes before i'd put a new valve on so that doesn't get plugged up

2nd fill cycle water only trickles

this usually is a problem with the fill valves.Disconnect the hose and make sure there is no sediment build up restricting the valves

Kenmore 80 series washer will not fill. replaced

You will have to have an electrical test done. If it's not filling, that means there's no current getting to the fill valve. Have a qualified technician do an electrical test. But also, have him test the timer, too!

Kenmore 90 Series Washer : cold water fills at just a trickle:

your hot water goes through the water heater so contaminates settle in the heater. the cold does not, there is a screen inside the fill valve where the hose hooks to the valve on the machine. if this in not plugged then the fill valve will have to be replaced. because of the build up of contaminates..

Kenmore 80 series model #110.26882503 fills slowly

For low water volume - or "Trickling" effect...

1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses.
2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused)
3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside wher you just removed the hose.
4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes.
5. Replace the inlet screens.
6. Re-fit the hose to the machine.
7. Turn on water supply valves.
8. re-try.
