Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: vtech A5874 answering machine not working & letter A shows.

Somehow the answering machine was clicked off, but the announcement was on. Therefore I could not receive messages, but my recording was still on as if I was receiving incoming messages. I just played with the various on/off switches till it worked. For me, just plain luck.

SOURCE: phone numbers not showing on caller id LED screen.

disassemble the handset (if you can figure out how to get it open). Flip the LCD screen over so that you can get to the end of the wire ribbon. You want the end that is connected to the phone, not the LCD screen. Carefully use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the cable being careful not to melt it. Your goal is to melt the glue that connects the tiny wires to the electrodes. When glue is melted use a pencil eraser to press the wires so that they make contact again. Let it cool and try it out. It should work well after that. Put your phone back together.

SOURCE: the screen is fading

Mine did the same I replaced the battery at a jewllers and it messed up the waterpoof seal and lasted 3 months. The next i sent to Polar - it was £15 they recorded delivery back within a week and they cleaned it. It came back with a full check list ticked - seals included!! well worth it

SOURCE: I have a Vtech model CD1281 Corded phone. Is it possible to make a conference call with this phone? The user's manual does not seem to mention this. If I can make one how do I do it?

"conference calls" or sometimes "3-Way calls" are provisioned from your service provider. If you have it as a feature then using it is usually just a matter of pressing a + 2 digits and then dialing the third party's number. Otherwise, you'd normally use a business that provides the bridging equipment; you all call one of their provided connections and they share the voice / video information between all callers. You can also do the same thing with various web services like Skype, etc. Btw, here's the user manual: Page 3> "Flash" is the third flat button, bottom row. http://cdnphones.vtechcanada.com/media/document2/products/%7B3E8FA658-0B2C-44C8-8E0D-B55B208BAEDA%7D/CD1281_CAUM_4.pdf

How do i delete a stored number from a vtech dect 6.0

When you enter a number/letter, the "Mute" button serves as a backspace/delete function. So what I did was go to Menu>Directory>Review, scroll to the contact I wanted to delete, and press "Mute", which asks me to confirm to delete the contact. Hope this helps.
