Why isn't My Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Soft Heat Extra Capacity Electric Dryer drying clothes on any one cycle?

One possibility: Air flow! Make sure that the lint trap is cleaned before each cycle. You likely need to thoroughly clean out the vent piping out the back of the machine- a buildup of lint in here can also restrict airflow.

80 Series Gas Dryer - No Heat. All other parts

check outside drye vent where it goes through the wall they clog up with lint sometimes and force the escaping warm air to back up which causes sensor to give wrong reading if this is clogged just clear it till you feel the air coming through also check vent at bottom of dryer disconnect flex pipe and check for clogs there as well ..and always clear lint trap after every load

The inside of my Kenmore Series 70 gas dryer smells like burnt popcorn/metallic smell. Do you have any tips on what is wrong?

you might have lint drawn into the air intake of the burner .. or air flow could be restricted by a clogged outlet tube .. in both cases you have to get inside the machine and clean it properly .. that should be done every couple of years anyhow .. the passagways inside the machne must be cleaned as well as the 3 or 4 inch hose that goes to the outside .. also make sure the flapper valve on the outside exhaust is free and not clogged by animals, grass or lint ..

Gas dryer heats fine but shuts down before the drying cycle is over taking longer to dry clothes. Lint trap and exhaust tube cleaned out.

You are going to most likely need a vent cleaning. The dryer is getting too hot and shutting off because it is not exhausting good.

Won't dry clothes

Try running the dryer with the vent pipe unplugged. There should be a lot of hot air coming out, if not the insides need to be cleaned. If it really moves air, and dries a load ok unhooked, your vent is clogged. Clean it if you can. If you can't, look into a lint trap that will work for your situation, some have a water trap, some are good filters, etc. If the air is not hot, some of the electric element may be bad. If it's gas, it could need a tune up and cleaning inside.

Unless the dryer is extremely old, you do not have a standing pilot. It uses and ignitor or glow coil which could be your problem. It could also be defective gas valve coils or an open thermal fuse. Since it is a gas unit, I recommend you call a technician.
