JAM SEWS FOR FEW MOMENTS THEN GET ERROR CODE 6. CHECK BOBBIN AND THREAD AGAIN. DOES IT AGAIN. REPLACED BOBBIN CASE.

Hi, Is it your bobbin thread or the top thread wrapping around the bobbin. I just got a used PE150. The top thread keeps wrapping around the bobbin. It is not picking up the bobbin thread. Did you find a solution for your problem?

I had the same problem.. I think the bobbin used in this machine is no good I replaced mine.. It cost alot too.. but now I do not have any problems.. good luck

Most likely the needle is in backwards. Weird I know, I have no idea why but if the needle is in wrong, it either hits the bobbin and breaks or won't grab the thread at all. Good luck.

have you tried other thread and a different bobbin?  The tension screw on the bobin case could be too tight.

hello, I had the exact same problem and could not find the solution until i took my machine to my sewing sensei and i solved my tedious problem. It was actually not a tension problem at all but a threading problem. Make sure you have threaded your bobbin correctly and that when you pull on the bobbin thread that the bobbin turns the right way. (mine must spin anti clockwise to work)  Make sure that when you pull up the bobbin thread using the needle that it is not over the feed dogs connective bar but under it. A big problem when the thread gets caught around the bobbin case wheel is that the thread is looped around the feed dogs once and that causes the thread to get caught around the bobbin wheel. In conclusion, thread the bobbin correctly and read over your instruction book before spending the money to get it fixe in s shop.

A disengaged clutch, broken drive belt or internal drive gear failure can prevent the needle from moving. Engage the hand wheel clutch if you have it disengaged for bobbin winding. If the needle won't move with the clutch engaged, unplug the sewing machine and check the drive belt.

My Kenmore 158/900 is not looping the bottom stitch from the bobbin thread and the thread sometimes breaks
Can be several causes. In typical probable order for rotary hook machines;
1.Top thread tension is too high (lower tension)
2.Top thread snagging at spool or elsewhere (for hoizontal spool use larger spool cap and/or machine not threaded per specific instructions)
3.Bent needle or barbed needle point (replace needle)
4.Needle not properly inserted into holder (see specific machine instructions)
5.Debris in shuttle hook/race (clean bobbin, hook, race)
6.Wrong bobbin (replace with proper machine bobbin)
7.Bobbin thread tension too high (reduce bobbin spring pressure, likewise top thread tension)
8.Poor quality or extremely light thread (if using cotton only thread, test sew with a polyester blend and see if problem goes away)
9.Bobbin case (replace bobbin case)
10.Machine timing. (check/adjust timing)
11.Burr in hook race, this can happen if a broken needle point jams in the race (remove burr or replace race)
12.Machine timing. (adjust timing)
13.Hook is worn or damaged (typically not a worn hook unless a few hundred hours of use, look for a barbed or bent hook point) Watch following Singer video... see testing top thread tension.

New 9960 sewing machine keeps jamming
try a new needle--the correct one for the fabric and thread
make sure the top thread has not come off the thread take up lever
rethread the machine top and bobbin-- using every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case
if these suggestions don't help, then taking the machine to be checked would be a good idea.

Help trouble-shoot jammed machine
Try these suggestions

1. Change the needle--use a needle that's for the fabric being sewed

2. Rethread the machine--top --make sure to use every thread guide

3. try a different bobbin--make sure bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case, & make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case

4. make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever

5. Clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or threads

6. Also could be a timing problem, and the machine would need to be checked.

I have a Bernina Deco 340. When I begin sewing, it only sews a few stitches before the thread jams and I have a huge mess in the bobbin case. I've taken the top off and cleaned the thread out of the bobbin...
First make sure you have the presser foot lever up when threading the machine.
It you have been doing that then I would check the bobbin area for burs of any kind on the bobbin basket (sometimes you can sand the off). That's about all you can do with the covers on.

1.check needle to see if it bent-roll needle on flat surface & see if it roll true
2.check to see if thread is coming off thread take-up lever
3.check the thread tenison
4.check for lint in the bobbin case area

SEWING THREAD COLLECTED IN BOBBIN AREA MACHINE JAMMED AND TURNED OFF AND WILL NOT TURN ON AGAIN
If you check your threading, you will most likely find that the take-up lever is not threaded. The jam in the bobbin case caused the safety fuse to blow to prevent the circuit board to overload.

Replacing the fuse is quite easy, but requires a knowledgeable service person.
