Go with an 8GA wire and see what that does for you because the battery is sending power to an amp but the amp cannot transfer all of that power anywhere without speakers being ran to it if you think 8GA is to small then try running a fuse in with your 4GA

Will it go into protect mode when a fuse is blown?

protect mode is normally when there is to much power running to the amp. if a fuse is blown it normally wont turn on. but take your fuses out hold them to a light and you will be able to see through the fuse. there will be two prongs that will be connected by a U shaped piece of metal. if that piece of metal is still in tacked the fuse is good. you should have a big fuse running with your major power. also check your ground if your ground is loose or has a bad connection. and make sure the the subs go to the amp. if the subs are drawing to much power from you amp it will go on safe mode as in if you have a 2 ohm amp and a 4 ohm speaker. i hope this helps you.

How do I hook up my 10 inch visonik sub woofers? they have 2 connections?

this is a dual voice coil sub. either have a 2 channel amp hook up to it. or have your mono amp have to sets of wires going out of it to your 2 connections. i dont suggest it but i have had one connection hooked up at a time played it when it blew hooked up the other connection as a back up. just make sure you have the right watt level for each voice coil.

The main problem I have having is I am getting power to my AMP but no power to the subs. I tested my AMP and subs in another car and everything worked so I know my hardware all works fine. I had someome...

okay , well you need to make sure all your conections are in the right spots, and that your IN LINE FUSE, between your amp and battery, the big glass one is not burnt, just take a look at the metal piece inside , if its a sold metal piece its good, if its burnt in half like a broken bridge it needs to be replaced. the next thing is the fuse on your amp, you need to make sure it is not burnt also. Check your remote that it is hooked up to the right wire. then check that your sub/speaker wires are connected properly and secure. YOUR GROUND WIRE IS HUGE HERE also. MAKE SURE IT IS GROUNDED TO A GOOD SPOT, YOU MAY HAVE TO MOVE IT AROUND A FEW TIMES TO FIND A GOOD GROUND!!!! if you check all of these things, it should work fine.. you can fiddle with your amp and bass settings levels. turn em up so when it works you know it, but not too much you dont wanna blow nothing :)

Visonik amp problem... amp goes in and out of protection

Check for intermittent shorts on the speaker leads.

Turn down the volume control on your head unit while operating the amp, you could be over driving the amp.

Remove Speaker leads and reset the amplifier. IF the protection LED still comes on amplifier is faulty.

Below is the link to put in a help request with the manufacture for repair.

Will not power

are u sure you didn't blow a fuse? check the fuses to make sure you did not blow one because the amp will not work in that case. make sure you are not over working your amp as well because it seems like that amp is not big enough to power all four of those subs. usually 4 channel amps are used to power speakers not subs. what is the rms on your subs and amp? i could better tell whether your amp is big enough. thanks hoped this helped

My amp is not working

For the visonik, you should check your speakers. You can use a D-cell battery. Remove the speaker wires from the amp and connect each speaker across the battery (for no longer than a few seconds). The speaker should pop each time the wires are touched to the battery. If they don't, the speaker is defective (assuming the battery isn't dead).

If the speakers are OK, you need to confirm that you have a good signal feeding the amp. You can use the RCA cables from another working amp in the vehicle. Do this with the amp that had the power light lit.

If you have signal going to the amp and the speakers are OK, the only two things left are the power supply feeding the amp (from the battery) and the amp. If you have B+ and remote voltage AND a good ground, the amp is defective.

For the pyramid, the amplifier probably has shorted output transistors. The amplifier will have to be repaired.

this problem sound like you have too low of power going to your amp, test your battery and make sure its putting out enough power for at least the mininum amount of power that your amp requires, you can find that information in your manual or sometimes they post it on the amp itself. i hope this info helps

Noise I don't like

The only real way of telling is a true bench test of the speakers. The speakers should be but on an amp with an adjustable tone generator at o db. The amp. should be hooked up to load resistors with 0 db(.775 milivolts) frequency sweeping hooked up to a ocilliscope to test properly. Anything else would be just a shot in the dark or a quess.
