Question about Epson Office Equipment & Supplies
One week ago worked fine. Now Epson scanner lid only closes with tremendous force and leaves a 2 inch gap.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

To be honest, I have no idea of how you were able to scan larger transparencies in the past. The scanner and its software were never designed to do this and there is no workaround.

SOURCE: Transparency adaptor won't close
I have the model Epson expression 1600 which is similar. Remove the transparency adaptor from the scanner remove the six screws that hold the bottom glass and plastic half of the unit. I used a bit of silicon based grease on all the surfaces that slide in the hinge mechanism. Note the micro switch on the right side of the hinge. It has to be depressed when the lid closes or the scanner thinks the lid is open. Over time the hinge mechanism gets slightly bent and it wont trip the switch. My solution was to just tape the switch closed. You may come up with a more elegant solution but the switch is the problem. Reassemble and your scanner should work with transparencies without the error message

Try downloading Txtract from the G1 Market. It's listed under "tools". Use this application to save the text messages you've been hoarding to your SD card, then delete the text messages from your phone. Your G1 will work like new again!

It might be because when the door was completely removed ( which they do rather easily for repairs and moving) it wasn't put back properly.
I would suggest you remove the oven door and re install.
You do not remove any screws or anything like that to remove the oven doors.
When you have the oven door open squeeze each hinge and shift then both outwards it will release the door from the hinge, the hinge stays on but the door will slide off the hindge. Afterwards check the alignment and reinstall the oven door

I just had the same problem. I figured that there must be a lever that gets pushed in when the lid closes and sure enough there's a square hole in the vent area (look in the area below the serial number) and in that is a small lever is that gets pushed down by the piece that's attached to the lid. For some reason, it's not pushing it down far enough or the lever has bent and it doesn't connect. My only solution (for now) was to jam a pencil into the lever to push it down all the way and sure enough, it worked. I'm sure there's a better, more permanent (and more attractive) way to repair this, but for now, it works and I need to print out 60 copies of an event program for tomorrow night! Good luck!
