Waterridge kitchen faucet leaking from a hole in swivel stem

Faucet has a pullout hose and a swivel stem to move the faucet from one sink to the other. There is a little hole in the back of the stem that leaks when water is running. Don't know the reason for the hole but it is the place where water is coming from. No leaks when no water is running.

Just purchased a Ladylux faucet for my kitchen sink and want to know if there is any way to strengthen the water pressure (water stream). It is too weak for kitchen use. Please advise at your soonest as...

Do you have good water pressure in rest of house if not you may have to put a pressure booster system in. if you do there may be a water saver washer in the end of the hose on the faucet, you can disconnect the hose and if there is a washer with small holes in it you can take that out(you may have to put some type of hose washer back in the hose so it dosen't leak).

If there is a hole on the spout itself then you should go ahead and replace th.e whole faucet. This will save you both time and money in the long run

Kohler Coralais K 15160 The body has a machined hole in the back, about the diameter of a toothpick. It has begun to leak water when the faucet is turned on, however this occurs once in awhile.

The front of the handle has a plastic button which can be removed with your thumb nail or tooth pick. Once the button is removed use a 1/8 allen wrench to remove the handle. Remove the decretive sleeve to access the top of the valve. Tighten the valve stem nut and reassemble. It the problem persists you may need a new valve or rubber seal. The best thing about Kohler is they offer a lifetime no leak warranty. I personally will buy Kohler faucets and toilets because of the quality and warranty. Delta has some hi end products but the support and warranty policies will make you never want to service a Delta product again. So if the faucet still leaks just call 1-800-456-4537, and they will send you a new faucet or parts.

Kitchen faucet Installation

Many new faucets require some assembly before mounting to the sink; if that is the case, follow the manufacturer's directions. With most pullout sprayer faucets, the sprayer needs to be threaded through the faucet body first. Insert the rubber gasket between the base plate of the faucet and the sink top to create a watertight seal. If no gasket is provided, pack the cavity of the faucet with plumber's putty, then insert the faucet body through the holes in the sink top. Thread the mounting nuts provided onto the faucet shafts, then center the threaded shafts in the sink's holes and tighten the nuts firmly. Many manufacturers include a special long socket specifically to aid in tightening the mounting nuts. A hole in the socket accepts the shank of a screwdriver, guiding it as you tighten the nuts. If you're mounting the faucet on an installed sink, use this method. If you're installing a pullout sprayer faucet--or a faucet with a separate sprayer--now is the time to connect the sprayer to the faucet body. Check the manufacturer's directions to see if using pipe-wrap tape for this connection is recommended. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the connection. Most pullout sprayer faucets and faucets with separate sprayers come with a counterweight that attaches to the sprayer hose. This weight helps retract the hose back in to the sink cabinet after you've used the sprayer. Follow the manufacturer's directions on where to secure the weight, and take care not to crimp the hose as you attach the weight. Hook up the faucet's hot and cold supply lines to the water supply shutoff valves under the sink. If necessary, gently bend the copper tubes coming out of the faucet for better access and connect flexible supply tubes to them. Simply wrap a couple of turns of pipe-wrap tape around the threaded nipples on the valves and connect the tubes. Tighten the nuts with an adjustable wrench.
