I reinstalled XP on IBM T41, now battery won't charge. Could this be Driver Problem

Sounds like you need a new battery.
It's not just a battery in a case, it also has a small circuit board inside to control the charging etc, if that's faulty it won't charge, or if it has dead cells in it won't charge.

You would have to backup your iPAQ probably through your computer instead of on the handheld. Otherwise there is no way to save your applications.

Hello, Yes it sounds as if it is a computer problem. There is no way to bypass it you will have to replace the engine computer. Good luck and feel free to ask anymore questions about this and I will do my best to answer them.

  1. Remove the battery for 15 seconds, and make sure the contacts are clean and free from dirt, dust, etc.
  2. Reinstall the battery and try to turn the netbook on.
  3. If it still doesn't work, replace the defective battery.

My speedo does not return to zero when I'm stopped, and reads way higher than the speed I'm traveling, the longer I ride it seems to get closer to zero but not all the way.. I can disconnect the battery...

Hi Outlawexcava, try cleaning your speed sensor located on top of the transmissions right side between the top cover and the chrome starter end cap on Twin Cams and on top of the engine case between the rear cylinder and the starter motor for Sportsters. Remove the the bolt that secures the sensor and pull it out of the transmission. Inspect sensor for obvious damage and repace if necessary. If sensor has no damage then wipe clean any obvious contamination like micro fiberous material with a clean rag and reinstall, torque bolt to 8 ft lbs. Every button simply puts zeros on the screen.... tried removing the batteries and the back up battery

If it isn't flat-out broke, I'd try deleting all memory and reinstalling. Don't add third party programs and hook to ti connect device explorer just to see how it loads it there. Other option take it apart but, I only seen one person with success doing that, the rest destroyed it.

Trojan on HDD want to Zero out and reinstall OS

Just to make sure of a few things, you actually want to install windows 98 when you could install windows XP? and the other thing is that you do not need to acutally "Zero" the drive out -as in writing zeros to all sectors- formatting it will suffice to remove a virus.

Logitech zero calibration reset method

Have you tried using the Logitech calibration uninstall tool that erasers all joystick calibration from windows.

Download and run the Logitech Clear calibration (LWS_CLRC.EXE).

The Clear calibration Utility was developed by Logitech to resolve calibration problems with Logitech digital gaming devices.

NOTE: This utility strips all calibration information in the Windows Registry for all gaming devices. This includes any non-Logitech gaming devices that have been installed.

You may also want to uninstall and reinstall the Joystick Software as well. In some cases, if the calibration issue is within a game, you could try uninstalling and reinstall the game.

Please refer to your game manufacturer for instructions on uninstalling or configuring the game.

This calibration tool specifically mentions the Wingman Joystick, However, it works for ALL Logitech and NON logitech Gaming Joysticks and Gamepads.

Cant find a constant ground connection

Hello deslamer07,

First remove the primary fuse on the 12V power wire.

Run a temporary wire from the NEGATIVE terminal of the battery to where the amp is located. You do not need to make a permanent connection, just wrap the wire around the terminal enough to get a good connection. Use a multimeter set to the lowest OHMS scale and test between your proposed ground connection and the negative battery terminal. A good ground will indicate near "zero" (or very near zero). If you don't get a "zero" reading, try to find a screw or bolt going into the metal of the vehicle. Again, the meter will read "zero" when you have located a good ground. Reattach the amp ground terminal to the good ground, remove the temporary test wire, reinstall the primary fuse and test the amp. If it was just the ground, you've fixed it.

Hope this helps.
