Question about Onkyo TX-NR818 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver

Open Question

Am/fm step up for onkyo tx nr 818

Trying to choose the right freq for Tx, USA. OPTIONS ARE, .. 10hz/200khz or 9khz/ 50khz? Also, I'm going to add an amplified antenna for better reception bc I'm in between to large cities (eg Austin and San Antonio), not sure if this changes anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: can I connect an ipod to Onkyo tx-ds595?

I connect my iPod to my Onkyo using a stereo cable with mini-plug on one end and RCA L&R outs on the other. Just plug the RCA plugs into the AUX or TAPE IN on the Onkyo, and the stereo mini plug into the iPod and play as usual.

SOURCE: Onkyo T-4500 FM reception problem

I have the same tuner...yes the fm and am frequencies are different there than north america...check to see if you have the "worldwide" model...there is a small switch under a small hole underneath the tuner to select the region for where it is to be used. If its not the worldwide model then i think your outta luck.

SOURCE: I have a new Onkyo TX-SR508 receiver. When

Does the display show "tuned" or "FM Stereo"? This would normally indicate a good reception. The tuner has a signal level threshold and if the signal gets to week, the receiver mutes to prevent noise in the speakers. Swithing to mono make reception less intolerant. Does the problem also occur, when you switch to mono?

I need help programming my baofeng 997s

To programme a repeater. VFO mode & curson on top line of display. Enter freq eg 147.250. Go menu button change settings like offset, tone. In menu delete channel required eg 000. In menu below that, choose mem channel now 000 & it saves receive freq.

Exit. press *SCN button so R appears on display. Save as 000 again but this time it stores TX freq. In other words, you save RX first, then exit.Add * so R appears in display second time round and save again TX freq. Go to channel mode and see it is in 000.

I might do a video to help people. Its the same process with UV5r and other Baofeng. Simplex you just save in one operation because TX is RX.

ONKYO TX NR 709 OPERATES WITH 120V FOR US BUT I WANT TO USE ON 220 V AT EUROPE, HOW TO CONVERT?IS IT ANY MODIFICATION OR CONVERTION WHICH MIGHT BE CARRY OUT TO WIRING OR TO RECEIVER'S POWER SUPPLY?

If your Onkyo does not have a voltage button (usually on the backside close to the power supply) where you can shift in between the needed voltage (typically from 110 - 230 voltage) you need to purchase a Voltage converter.

You need one that is able to convert from 110 volt and up to 220 volt. (Step up)

Here is a site which can inspire you to choose the right Voltage converter :

I have an ONKYO TX-SR606 receiver and I am trying to listen to FM radio using more than just the center channels. I have gone through the setup screens for the tuner and only Analog choices are available....

Hello,
In reality the correct way to listen to radio or any music source for that matter is in 2 channel stereo. What this means is that the front left and right will play and also the subwoofer. If you absolutely want all your speakers to play while listening to fm, than press the Multi channel button and set it to direct, or any other sound field that you may desire.
Good Luck
