My Kitchen Aid Refrigerator model KFCS22EVMS8 is leaking water . I was told that I should clean the drain pipe. How can I clean it and stop the leak? Thanks

The drain is plugged up from ice and debris that comes off the food in the normal process of working. You may have to remove the back panel in the freezer and pour hot water in the drain area at the rear bottom if the freezer under the coils. After thawing the ice it would be a good idea to run a short piece of 1/4 inch plastic hose, maybe about 18" or so, down the drain to push any debris through the hose. Flush it out well with hot water and this should be good for several years.

We have a side by side that is 19 years old. It is not hooked up to water but it is building up ice on the bottom and leaking water out the front bottom.

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,

In the owners manual it decribes the yearly cleaning to the drain opening in the freezer compartment. My question is their a water collection pan with this refrigerator and where is it locate how do you...

The water drains into a drain pan that is usually located in the compressor compartmen on the back of the refrigerator. Most newer units you may not be able to remove it. But don't worry, the water in the drain pan will evaporate from the heat produced by the compressor and condenser coil. If you use too much water to clean the drain though, you van overfill it. So just use about two cups of really hot water and a flexible, snake like device ( I use 1/4 inch plastic water line or heavy weedwacker line ). Pour one cup into the drain and then use your snake device and gently run it down into the drain. If it is long enough and you can see where the drain tube drains into the pan, you want to be able to see the end of your snake device exit the drain. Try to break loose any debris and then remove your snake. Pour your second cup of hot water into the drain to flush out any debris and then you are all set.

What men cod e4 on dishwosher kenwood kdw12st3a

Error e4 on Kenmore usually occurs when there is drain clogging or due to debris stuck in the bottom of the dishwasher. Drain out the excess water from the dishwasher, now remove the mesh and the filter. Now, check and remove any food material or debris stuck. Now pour 1-2 litres of luke warm water and let this water drain. After this replace the parts and run the dishwasher on eco mode without any tablets or soap. Try this 2-3 times and then reset the dishwasher by unplugging it for 5-10 minutes.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Water collecting in freezer bottom

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...If you need any further assistance please feel free to comment again. good luck! P.s Please don't forget to rate my solution thanks! Mike.

Remove the food from the freezer . Remove the rear freezer panel , inside the freezer . At the base in the rear , use a hair dryer and defrost (you'll see a drain hole possibly in the middle of the drain ) . Defrost drain hole until hot water can be poured and go thru the hole . I use a small hose to blow thru the drain hole to remove any debris which could have accumulated inside the drain line .

Wash stops, beeping, flashing F and 02

I'll just take a swing at this one, without model number.............F-02 is typically a Whirlpool error code for " slow drain". If this is a Kenmore or Whirlpool front loader, pull off the bottom panel and check the pump filter, (pump should be right up front, turn counter-clock-wise to remove filter) clear of any debris, check hose from tub to pump as well. NOTE! If there is water in the machine, it will pour out of the pump, first remove the water either with a wet-vac, or just do it very slowly and carefully at the pump, draining the water into a pan.

Water pool in bottom of freezer

On the back wall of the freezer is where the cooling coils are located behind the metal. At the bottom is the drain trough through which the water from defrost flows. This drain may be clogged with debris.
Mix some baking soda and warm water and pour it down the drain. You may also need to push a piece of wire (coat hanger) through it.

1997 honda accord sunroof drain problem

You need to open the sunroof fully and locate the small drain holes at each corner. They will be blocked with debris. Get a piece of welding wire or the likes and carefully unblock the hose by prodding and pouring water down it. When cleared the water shout run away freely.
