Old itel webcam wont work with vista

Try completely uninstalling it then re-installing... otherwise theres something wrong with the install disk... try for a refund/replacement.

The webcam will work on Windows 7 - just download the latest drivers available from the intel website for the webcam, if windows 7 is not listed just download the windows vista drivers and if they do not work then try the xp drivers, you will be able to get it working with the drivers available as win 7 is quite clever like that.

go check on intel support page, if you cant find anything, write back with what OS you have (xp/vista/7)

Unfortunately your camera only supports windows Xp.
There are no vista drivers available for this camera at the manufacturers website.

You can try contacting the Intel support from the below link and ask them if they will release the vista drivers for your camera in the future or not.If not then you will have to switch to another camera.

Well I have sevrl idea but I may not apprciate the rating I am goingto get for them tho. You have a old usb 1.0 camera and trying to backward compatable on a 2.0 is just not the way to go at all some cameras have issues with 2.0 USB ports and XP loves to run your devices at 2.0 speeds even if you did not even have 2.0 and you had 1.0 and you using XP wll stil lyou looking at the issues with refresh rates and such gees you gone from fat 32 to NTFS with a HUGE old camera if it wroks i would leave it alone if it don't wokr I would replace it but a fix would prolly be here www.driverguide.com download a xp compatable driver for it if not replacement would be the other choice.

Go to control panel, add/remove programs, uninstall Intel software.
Get the new software/drivers from

Intel® Deluxe PC Camera

I'm sorry but this old camera is only supported on operating systems, windows 2000 and older, it might work on vista if you just plug it in, if not then it wont.

Not sure what your model is, so please browse through to your camera's listing. However I do not see any particular driver for Vista. So you may have to wait for Intel to come up with updated Vista drivers, or purchase a camera thats compatible with Vista..
