My craftman lawn tractor run for a while then stalls . the gas filter is empty when it stalls

Sounds like your fuel bowel is dirty or your fuel jet it the bolt that holds the fuel bowel on is plugged.
Take the bowel off and clean it real good and also blow the jets that are in the bolt that you took off . Carburetor cleaner would also be good as well. i also had a mower the tube in the gas tank was dirty on the end where the gas is sucked in I took the tank off and cleaned the tube and put clean gas it the tank. Away she went.

I have a craftmans riding mower I replaced the solenoid and the carb but when the mower has been shut off for a couple of days the fuel drains out of it what could be wrong

Depending how old it is...the rubber hoses on most lawn equipment is prone to going cracking and leaking. I'd start with checking fuel lines coming from the fuel tank to the engine first, see if they show any signs of wear or leakage.

Its a fuel problem. Remove fuel line from carb. Remove fuel cap, vent in it is common problem. A small hole in cap.

Craftman riding mower quit, ran one side of deck into a dirt bank. No power, the fuse is behind dash, my gas tank is there. Do i remove it?

I unhooked my wiring harness from frame so you can get to the fuse. The gas tank shouldn't be that to remove. 4 bolts and the gas line.

How to remove gas tank from craftman LT1000 lawn tractor it is located under the seat

Hello, removing this tank is easier then it may initially seem. Here are the basic steps:

tilt the seat forward
remove the springs that support the rear of the seat
remove the knob on the transmission shift lever
remove the fuel cap
loosen the bolts under the foot rests (that is all part of the fender assembly)
gently lift the fender assembly to expose the fuel tank(I have used an engine crane type lift to do this)
remove the bracket over the tank
remove the tank

reassemble in reverse order.

If this helps please vote yes, Thank You!

I have a craftman 17 hp riding mower. It will start and run but Then it will die like it isnt getting gas. Replaced the fuel filter and spark plug.i can let it idle for a few minutes and it seems fine. I...

Remove the bottom bowl of the carberator and replace the needle-valve and float - cleaning this area as you do so.  Sounds like the float has a hole in it or the needle valve in the carb is sticking.  Use some fuel stabilizer prior to storing for winter next time, if not the old gas turns to shellac and makes things stick.

Leaky gas tank

There is not much that will stick to a plastic tank. you could get a plastic tank from a bone yard, and be in the same shape you are now, or a boat place where they have all sizes tanks, or sears. Taking it out is fairly easy, Of course you have to take the entire thing apart to get to it. You might be able to sneak it out through the back with just a panel or 2 out of the way. I have tried just about every adhesive made on gas leaks, aside from silly putty and POR, on metal only, there isn't one. A bar of soap will stop it but only temp. Hope this helps.

How do i remove left rear wheel to replace tire on craftman riding mower model 917272140

First Raise the mower and set the draw bar on a block or jackstand or something. Now pull off the black plastic cap it might be harden from age so pliers will help here. Now take a screw driver and stick it in that small grove in that E-clip and turn the handle to prize off the E-clip. Now remove the large washer there may be two. Pull and rock that tire back and forth there is a steel keyway in the axle. It all could be rusty so spray it with oil and use a hammer on the back side if needed.
