How old is my Hotpoint dishwasher, model HDA3400G02WW Serial SG8047194 is??? My dishwasher humms, but doesn't runs at ALL. What could be the problem????

The motor is stuck. If you remove the lower cover and see a square aluminum motor it is less than 7 years old. Make sure power is off at breaker and rotate the motor shaft
by turning the fins inside the motor.
If the motor is black and round you have to turn
the fan blade which is located in a slot between the metal pump and the plastic
pump. Also once freed, a light shot of silicone or WD-40 (silicone works better) at the
bearing ends. Also check pump for leaks around the drain solenoid (shiny shaft attached
to a plastic triangle). If it's leaking during pumpout, the seal has failed. The pump runs
around 100 dollars typically. Hope this helps.

When I turn on the unit, it humms and the fan doesn't turn. Help.

If you can easily get to motor I would unplug unit and check motor to see if it turns freely. If it does I would plug the unit back in and see if the humming noise is coming from motor. Ifyou decide that the motor is the source of the noise and you can do so safely spin the fan and see if it will try to run, If it does I would unplug unit and give fan motor and blades a thorough cleaning. Clean any hair, lint or dust from aaround motor shaft. A small motor like these does not take much to slow or stop them. Plug it back in and try it. If it stiil does not work I would replace the motor. Hope this helps. Thanks

Turn switch on to fan or air and motor just humms but will not start

The fan motor uses a capacitor to turn the motor and if the capacitor is bad the fan won't rotate. If you are handy you could remove the electrical panel and change the capacitor and it will work fine again.I have tested these fans by simply turning the unit on and spinning the fan blade by hand!!! if the fan operates then the capacitor is bad!!

Blade 400 i have no rudder response at all

I have a Blade 400 myself. If there is no rudder response, of which you mean the tail rotor is not rotating, it could be that the belt has snapped. Unless you had a crash, could you make it more clearly on the subject on how did you mean by the rudder not responding? Have you crashed it, have you checked if the tail rotor rotates when the main rotor is also rotated by hand? And have you checked if the tail rotor rotates freely? If so, No 1 culprit is the belt leading to the rotor. The belt is supposed to last a very long time. I wonder if this is a rare occasion that the belt could have caused this problem. Check it out and come back here. ;)
