SOURCE: toner sensor problems

On the base of machine after removing drums and transport, there are 4 sets of 3 pins that connect to left hand bottom of each drum, these can get toner on them and not make proper contact, each set of 3 pins just pop out with the help of a flat blade, out of base to be cleaned. in yout case just switch the set under the cyan with another lot from different colour.

I am taking it that you are using genuinne non imported oki drum and toner. If this doesnt fix your problem then you must have fauly drum/toner

SOURCE: toner sensor error on an Oki C3520 Laser

Check the little switch/door on the right hand side of the drums.
This has worked successfully for me.

Symptom:
After replacement of a C3530 Image Drum, the message, "Toner Sensor Error" is displayed.

0.10a?openelement&fieldelemformat=gif

Cause:
The plastic shutter in the ID is fully or partially covering the toner sensor window.

Resolution:
Move the cover upward to allow for the sensor to become fully exposed prior to reinstalling the drum.

SOURCE: put a new toner in

I have indicated the solution in another post for C3400n. Basically on the right hand side of the drum there is a small rectangular opening of 0.5" x 0.25", ensure that the shutter in that opening stays open to allow the RFID chip to be read by the printer. The shutter may get jarred shut while changing the toner cartridge.

It could also be the sponge roller in the toner hopper. The old ones started to deteriorate after a while so sharp modified them.

ERROR CODE F2-31

F2-31 = Process Control Error.

This is usually just a dirty Image Density Sensor.

If you are able to remove the drum unit check that the Image Density Sensor is not dirty or blocked.

The IDS is number '7' in this image:

fmtx.jpg The error should reset just by switching the machine off/on. The machine will attempt a 'process control' Provided the sensor is OK the machine should work. If there is a large amount of toner dust around the drum and in the machine it would be worth vacuuming this out. Check also that you are using the correct toner.

Hope this helps

IR 3100 error. E020-01A9, E020-02A9,

E020-01A9 Error Code : iR C3100 Series
Hi there
I have looked it up and what it says about it I have put down for you so you can gave it a try hope it works for you.
Approved
Symptom
E020-01A9 Error Code.

Cause
For ATR control, the detected Toner/Density ratio exceeds the lower limit (3%) 3 times continuously for Yellow

Action
The ATR Sensor and Patch Image Read Sensor both determine toner density. Depending on the density readings the copier will or will not add toner. Check the status of the Drum Unit under COPIER>DISPLAY>MISC>DRUM-LIFE. The Patch Image Read Sensor looks at a patch of toner that is generated on the drum for each colour and determines the amount of toner that is in the patch by the amount of reflected light. If the drum is not creating the patch correctly, the patch reading will be affected. Replace the Drum Unit if it is 80% of its rated life or higher. ..

Ar405 error code f2-31. how do i solve this problem I have the same issue, anyone have a "fix" it cam up right after we changed the toner Same problem, code F2-31 popped up after adding toner. I looked up...

Content Process control trouble (OPC drum
surface reflection rate abnormality)
Detail Usually the sensor gain is adjusted so
that the output is a certain value, by
reading the drum base surface with the
image density sensor before starting
process control.
However, a certain output is not obtained
by adjusting the sensor gain.
Cause Image density sensor defective
Check Check process control sensor output with
SIM44-2. (Do not adjust)
and
remedy If the result is far different from the
specified value, it suggests the sensor is
defective. Check the sensor and harness.

If the deviation is relatively small, check
the sensor and drum surface for
contamination.
