My printer won't use regular paper

My printer was pulling the right side of the paper and not the left, so it jammed. I tried solutions listed on fixya. It did accept poster board and pull it through evenly, but regular paper doesn't get fed, and the error alarm goes on. I have 3 printers, this is the best for photos and isn't sold anymore.

If there is nothing extra inside, like paper clips, candy, push pins, the roller that feeds the paper may be broken. Feel the rubber roller in the back that pulls paper in, if it flops up and down at all the end may be broken off and a dealer would need to replace it. Look real close with a flashlight and small mirror and see if something has fallen in where the paper goes.

SCX 4521F multi/f keeps reporting "Document Jam"

Hello there,
If the paper is lodged too far into the printer and can't be removed: Press the power button to turn the printer off.
Pull firmly on the paper to remove it. If you can't reach the paper because it is too far in, raise the front cover and remove the paper from the front of the printer.
Close the front cover.
Press the power button to turn the printer back on.
Resend your document to print.

Ensure that:
The paper is a recommended paper for Laser printers.
You do not force the paper down into the printer when you load it. For example, if you are loading letter or A4 size paper, the top edge of the paper should extend above the top of the sheet feeder.
The printer is on a flat, level surface.
The left paper guide is against the side of the paper.
You do not load too much paper in the sheet feeder. Depending on the thickness of your paper, the sheet feeder can hold up to 100 sheets of paper.
The left paper guide does not cause the paper to bend in the sheet feeder.
Your printer feeds regular paper as expected. If regular paper feeds without causing problems, load the envelopes vertically against the right side of the sheet feeder. Make sure the paper guide is against the side of the envelopes.
Envelopes or the appropriate specialty papers are selected in the printer driver.
You are using a paper or envelope size supported by your printer.

Brother printer, paper inside, but I do not see paper inside.

PAPER JAMMED INSIDE THE MFC

1. Remove the Jam Clear Cover located in the back of the machine..
Squeeze the plastic tabs located on the right and left side of the cover
and pull the cover off.

2. Remove any paper you can see jammed in the machine. If you cannot
remove the jammed paper from the back of the unit follow the in
structions listed below for reinserting the cover and then continue to Step 4.

3. Re-insert the Jam Clear Cover. The top of the cover has a slotted
opening in the center approximately 1/4 inch wide. Hold the cover by the
plastic tabs located in the front of the cover on the right and left side and insert the cover into the opening until it securely
clicks intoplace (both sides).

4. Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the
cover until it locks into place.

5. Remove the jammed paper. If the paper is jammed underneath the print
head, unplug the machine from the AC power outlet. Gently move the
printhead to the far right side of the machine (the "home" position) and
then remove the jammed paper.

6. Lift the scanner cover to release the lock and then gently push the
scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover.

To test print the Help List by pressing Menu/Set, 6 (Print Reports), 1
(Help List) and then Black Start. The Help list should begin printing.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
