Question about Freezers
The freezer section of my whirlpool wrn28nwb6 has stopped working. Fridge section is fine. Cool air is blowing out of the freezer vents but is still not freezing. The cooling element at the base of the freezer had iced up. I used a hair dryer to remove ice, but next day still not freezing and ice back on element. Next I changed the defrost timer and again removed ice from element but next day still not freezing and ice on element. I am an industrial electrician but refridgeration is not my forte. Any suggestions on what I should look at next?
Check your defrost timer also make sure its turning also there's a thermostat and heating element that defrost the ice at given cycles

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
