The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead. The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignments, have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike? The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too. These parts on the tv convergence board, must be replaced to solved the tv pictures convergence problems. The shop, will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
Ur tv have a problems, known as Convergence problems. This problems very common on all DLP tvs.Ur tv convergence board must have be replaced 2 STK convergence ICS,some or all it resistors.U know basic soldering, have tools, soldering iron, solders?Tries Websites like TvrepairWord.com,TvrepairKits.com to buy a covergence kit to repair it ur self. The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems that you have to
replace the convergence IC and also check the power resistor, if values are not
exact you have to replace them. These ICs are located behind the black heat
sink; you can see once you open the back off the TV. Also, the convergence
board should be checked for cracked solder joints and please make sure to check
the resistors as if they are shot the ICs might blow again. All this is only
recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder
components, if not then you should get this done by a professional. The typical
cost to get this fixed by a pro is around $250-$300. Please do accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
If convergence out ICs got defective, TV shows 3D look picture. Replace convergence out ICs on D Board, these are two big black ICs with similar number mounted on aluminum heat sink, if you are good ij soldering parts in circuit board, then can replace it easily or call local TV tech for replacement. Let me know further question, if any. Thanks.
You still have bad grounds on the ICs. Or maybe the solder has fused another pin. If not bad grounds on the ICs you have missed them elsewhere...Really concentrate and look for these bad grounds and check your caps with a cap check. And power resistors too!!!!!
This is a convergence problem. Ther are either bad connections at the convergence ICs or the ICs are defective. If you can solder, you can repair this yourself. Try resoldering the pins on the ICs first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs. These ICs are large, black and attached to a heat sink. They should be marked STKxxx. Figure on $20 for each one. There will be 2 of them.

Save yourself some money. The typical parts are the convergence ICs. Replacing the ICs will retain the particular adjustment values for your set and avoid a complete convergence adjustment. Look for the large black ICs on the board. They should be STKxxx. Try resoldering the pins first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs being sure to use plenty of heatsink compound between the ICs and the heatsink.
Keep us posted.
You have bad convergence Ics they are mitsubishi part # 267P150010 Generic part is STK 392-570 and they are at locations Ic8c01 and Ic8co2 on the deflection board. If you can solder you can take these out replace them and fix your problem for about 100 dollars. Best of luck
