A key goal of AC is to remove humidity as it cools else it would be like living in a cave. You do n0t mention where the condensation is located.

The coils jeep freezing up I have cleaned the filter

usually means Freon charge is low, you might have a leak..... also, filters don't catch everything. over time what gets past the filter can be trapped in underside of the evaporative coil on top of your furnace..... outside condenser coils may be caked with debris, improper air flow threw coils can produce liquid Freon back to evaporative coil causing it to freeze..
hosing the condenser down will resolve freezing up too

Our AC keeps cutting out. It runs for a few minutes then stops. have to switch off and restart. Any idea why? Have emptied water and cleaned filter recently

Look for:
  1. the ac needs air flow thru the indoor and outdoor radiators
  2. the outdoor radiator coil should get warm/hot and produce warm air.
  3. indoor radiator coil needs should get cold and produce cold air.
The ac needs the fan motor(s) working and compressor running and pumping. Compressor skinny copper line hot and thick line cold.

Hello, most likey if the unit is cooling and there is no visible ice on the suction line then it is probably a cloged condensate line that will need to be cleaned.

How to stop leak from Dometic "Brisk air" RV AC into the living area?

  • Start with the condensate drain. Your air conditioner collects condensate water from the evaporator (moisture that was in the air condenses and turns into water on the coil) where it then drains into a pan and then outside of the unit. Look for a drain and clear the blockage. If you have a wet/dry shop vac, you can vacuum out the drain area.
  • Make sure your air filter and your evaporator coil are clean. Clean as necessary.
  • Inspect seals and repair as necessary.
These are the first things you want to do and will, in most all cases, correct the problem you are experiencing. :-)

MY split ac is leaking water from the wall unit, it has been doin

Usually an AC unit builds up condensation. If you have a drain hoole or hose that is clogged up therefore not allowing the build up to drain off it will spill over the top of whatever housing the condensation goes into. If you can look for that issue first.

When I start my ac it works unless it's working really hard for a long period. In this case it runs but stops cooling. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I would make sure that the outside coil (condenser) is clean. It sounds as if it overloads on hot days. Make sure the inside filter is clean. too.
