Question about Garden
The blades only turn when the electric clutch is engaged. Sounds like you may have a short in the wiring possibly at a terminal that is shutting down the clutch. Or it might be in the "reverse button" you have to push to keep the blades turning when you back up. Try holding in on the button when it stops and see if they start back up. I think it's definitely in the wiring somewhere.

First make sure you have the tools, metric that is. The deck must be removed and turned over. To do this you must put the deck in the lowest position. Using a 15mm socket pull the belt tension spring pulley forward to detach from clutch. Next remove retaining pins located at the five deck brackets. This will allow the arms to slide off and the deck can be dragged out from under the mower. Turn deck over. Use a 18 inch 2x4 to block blades while removing the two 15mm bolts. The bolt heads will need to be cleaned so the socket can seat on bolt head. I use my torque wrench to get more leverage and i can use it to reset blade bolts to 64 ft lbs. While blades are of it is a god time to thoroughly clean underside of deck.

Two things to consider....fire and fuel. Lets start with the simplest....check and replace the fuel filter, drop bowl off the bottom of carb to make sure float is working properly. If this dosen't work...your looking at a new coil. Some coils will go quickly where others are gradual. As they heat up...they will stop working until allowed to cool down again. www.nnyparts.com

They wear out. How old is the mower? Mine just gave out this week in the peak of hay season. (my grass) The wire can be unhooked from the PTO clutch and a 12 volt jumper can test it, if it jumps, it is good, if not, it is shorted out, they are expensive, I found 3 of them all the wrong size for mine. Try to find the same one. Ebay has a couple on there right now. Check it out.
