Leaking on the right side under the car they told me it might be the evaporator but I don't know where that is in my car I have a 1997 Ford Expedition, I don't even know what it looks like

The evaporator is located in the heater box, it is the AC's equivalent of a heater core. Water is a NORMAL by product of refrigeration, and the clear water must leak out to the ground.

I don't know if there is a place to drain the air conditioner unit.

jbuck, Since your unit is a multifunction unit (AC, Heat & Dehumidifier) you don't have to darin any water. It uses an evaporative system, that exhaust the water/moisture thru the exhaust hose to the outside. With that said, there may be a rare occasion, that the condensation pan under the unit, needs to be drained. In which case, you will find the drain hole, covered by a plastic screw off cap, on the left rear of the unit (as you face the rear of the unit), next to the cord keeper. A small plastic bowl or pan that will fit under the drain hole will suffice. As, there shouldn't be that much water to drain.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Water leaking from indoor unit against the wall.

It's probably the insulation around your refrigerant pipes. If it is too thin or missing in a section they will condensate.

I don't know where to put the water. Its been draining water but I don't know how to refill it.

It makes water on it's own , thats the condensation from the Air conditioning process itself.

Better not to use the small water condensation drawer, rather use a bucket with the drain hose supplyed with the system. it holds alot more water and you shouldn't ever get the P-1 error code because of having the drawer full of water or the drawer switch missaligned.

If you do use the water drawer be careful and gentle when putting it back in after emptying it. It has a switch in it that makes contacts for the AC unit to work in AC mode and not just fan Mode.

The fan will always turn on unless it goes out, but the AC when it is on will sound diffrent when working it should sound a bit like a air compresser at the gas station because that is basicly what it is.

Water leak on passenger side on 99 chevy s 10 not anterfreeze, leaks when not being driven

there is only one thing that leaks water there, that is the AC condensation drain, water forms as part of the AC cooling the evaporator core, this water must be drained away or it will flood onto passenger area, so there is a drain on the passenger side at bottom of firewall, will leak allot of water depending on how humid the air is.

2000 dodge grand caravan AC stinks

Hi,

I don;t know who told you the coils would leak and let leaves in but don;t let them work on your car.

2 things to do.
1 make sure the drip tube is not clogged up. If it is water will build up and could mold. Should be a small hose coming off the firewall under the car. Just make sur eit is open and clean.

The next thing is to remove the AC/Heat fan and look in there. You can look in there and smell and remove any leaves/dirt you fine.

Leak under car

if it's water, and not gas it's not your fuel pump. if it's water and not a sweet smelling green or red liquid it's not your cooling system. it's probally condensation from your ac, have you been using your ac alot? if so no worries. or a bad window or door seal and it's letting in water onto your floor. and yous aid under the door, so it's on the ground or on the floor of the vechile? if on the ground, more then likely it's just your weep drain from your ac system.

Mothers AC unit

That has nothing to do with the water. Sounds to me like it needs cleanning, (the water is not drainning toward the back of the unit) ,,(dirty filter, which its trying to **** air anywhere it can even thru the drain hole, or not enough slope, leanning toward the back so gravity can flow the water to the back of the coil! Thank you-very-much!
