How to crack MSI password in a notebook?

My younger brother changed my password while I gave him my laptop to do his homework. I tried to enter my password for about more than 10 times, then he told me that he changed the password. I tried to enter the password he set but it just said password is incorrect. So I want you to please help me crack this password.

Always, one might reinstall the OS. Otherwise, I'm not absolutely certain of what to do. Here's likely a better solution (something like this): https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100906195549AAxvUWt

It has to do with Windows--not MSI. Otherwise, I'd look into using an open source OS (USB stub or "live" disk) to find the password in the (Windows, right?) registry.

MSI--I figured that as the fabricator for the laptop. Maybe I'm way off-base concerning that. Anyway, Linux may now read NTFS. I'm not certain how the password is managed in Windows--it likely is in the registry--a hodge-podge search--something analogous perhaps to searching the floor of the Indian Ocean!. People in the Yahoo forum mention 3rd-party Windows-based tools to gather the password. This appears to be the correct solution that may prove relevant:http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/h...

    It is Windows 7, right?

SOURCE: locked dell notebook

You either have to install a new windows copy or you can do this....
The best option is to use your password reset disk. If you don't have a password reset disk, you can reset the password by using another administrator account, if you have one. If you reset a password using another administrator account, you will permanently lose access to any e‑mail messages or encrypted files that are on the administrator account that you are resetting the password for. There may be a place on the web you can find a password reset disk, Hope that gets you going.

That's because the password entered must be what the owner set it to be. BIOS passwords are used to prevent a thief from accessing and changing the BIOS settings.

Restart the laptop, hit F8 repeatadly to start in safe mode. This will bypass XP's login screen. You can then manipulate the password in the control panel. Also, you can change it by going to command prompt, type: net user * (your username) then whatever password you want.
