Microwave turntable doesn't turn. Everything else

The turntable system typically consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

Here is a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here.

But if you've recently had trouble with the cooktop lights, then the control board may be damaged.

We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so with a one-year guarantee.

Turntable not rotating on my microwave

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again. If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes. You can download your owner's manual here: http://www.miele.co.uk/Resources/OperatingInstructions/M%20625%20EG.pdf On the last page it has the contact information for various countries. You can locate servicers or spare parts. The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray. You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPSWi_z7M58 If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler. Turntable won't turn

The turntable probably isn't on the spinny thing and that is what makes it turn- try lifting it up and putting it back on.

It's almost certainly not a switch issue. If the primary interlock (lower door switch) were bad, the turntable and cooling fan would not come on and it would not heat.

If it heats, but the turntable won't work, the motor is likely bad.

Russell hobbs microwave turntable wont turn

Is there an option via the Help or Custom Help to turn the turntable off and off?

This feature is common in over the range models.

Otherwise, it may be a bad motor.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPSWi_z7M58

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven, as you're looking up from the stove top.

Please write back with your model number if you need further help.
