Dont know the particular shower model but usually if one of the inlet filters is blocked it will automatically shut down for safety.
The filters are usually on the inlet connections directly on the mixer unit,do not forget to isolate the water supply first!
Wash out and replace

Wash out and replace, also replace the shower hose if fitted, the rubber lining can rot and collapse inside the metal surround

SOURCE: Valve in Grohe kitchen faucet stop functioning.

It sounds to me like sand or buildup in the cartridge. You should pull the faucet apart and clean the cartridge.

Testimonial: "I think that you're correct. Later I read Grohe's recommended cartridge replacement every 2-3 year. Seems excessive, but will replace it. Thanx."

SOURCE: Low water pressure in Moen Kitchen faucet.

The low pressure is due to plugged up screen filter in faucet, if no filter present, the faucet itself is plugged up. When you replace a faucet, debris from hard water deposits gets loose and eventually plugs up the outlets.
Remove the faucet and make sure is unplugged, let some water run so the rest of the loose debris comes out. Re install the faucet and try again.
Good Luck!! Keep me posted!!

I get hot water but no cold water from my moen one hand tub fixture.

pretty sure that model has shut-off's/stop's.they are on either side of the center of faucet, they take a slotted screw-driver.check that, and the balancing spool could be clogged,if the stop's are open check the cartridge real good,as well as the faucet body for any debris. if you end up pulling the cartridge flush out the valve body to prove flow from both hot,and cold.

Why did my moen faucet stop working? I have water flow throughout the house but the flow at the kitchen faucet just suddenly stopped!

Rubber gasket on the water shut off valve under the sink has come off and traveled up into the faucet. It's pretty difficult to get it out. If you have access to an air compressor you may get lucky by taking the faucet completely off the sink and blowing air back from the faucet outlet back into the internal piping to dislodge the rubber piece. If that doesn't work, or you can't use the air compressor method, then it's a trip to the hardware store for a new faucet.

wow... I wish you hadn't gone thru the expense of replacing the faucet... it's perfectly good... your problem was the aerator, it unscrews at the tip of the water spout and had collected too much sediment which eventually blocked water flow. Often happens quickly after your water is shut off at the main valve. Aerators cost about 50 cents...

No water flow

Did this unit come with water stops built into the faucet body? Some of the newer faucets have stops built in and they need to be turned on. Also if you aren't going to plumb the hot in, you will need to cap it off but it should run without it unless it has some sort of balance in it. I don't think so though.
