Question about Zodiac Pool & Spa

The unit is negatively boyant and when filled with water should have no problem sinking to the bottom. you can get weights that go on the hose that will aid in sinking the vac but these are more to adjust the pattern it uses

here is a link to the Technical Support at Baracuda. this should be able to solve your problems. initially sounds like maybe too much suction.

I haven't seen any bulletins on the Zippy hoses. You might adjust the flow to the cleaner. You can find the Manual for the zippy cleaner on this page beneith the diagram. It shows how the star control works. You can also contact the Mfg Technical Support at Phone: 800-822-7933 They might be able to warranty a hose or two for you.

sounds like you may have an air leak somewhere. If not from your zodiac hose, it may be in the plumbing itself. Check the threaded fitting on the suction side of the pump, check the pump lid o-ring, and depending on the pump, check the gasket between the hair/lint pot and the volute or seal plate (especially if it's a sta-rite).

This usually happens when there is a small stick jambing in the bottom of the openning in the Kreepy Krauly where it sucks in the water and rubbish. It is the rubber tube that has a ****, usually something is jambed in the **** to prevent it from thumping.

SOURCE: Hi, we have a Zodiac
With these pool cleaners, getting stuck in one spot is most likely the result of a waterflow problem. Check your water flow valve and make sure that it is adjusted correctly. make sure that you don't have any blockage that would prevent movement and cause the cleaner to stick in one place. This might seem like common sense, but make sure that you have enough hose to reach the entire pool. Many times, when this occurs, the cleaner cannot reach one part of the pool. make sure that your hose balance is correct also.
