Start by checking the lamp, there's no sure fire way to tell if its the lamp or not.Remove the lamp housing door off the back right side of the tv (if you are looking at the back of the tv, it has one black screw holding it in place. Look inside and you'll see the black and silver metal housing. Then loosen the gold screws on each side of the lamp housing. You'll know you're looking at the right thing because there is a black handle that lets you pull the housing straight out (after loosening the screws, the screws wont come completely out). Take into account the amount of time it has been since you replaced the lamp, 3-4 years seems to be about average. You won't really be able to tell if the lamp is burned out or not by looking at it. Sometimes there is a break in the glass tube inside the bowl, sometimes its a white powder in the small bulb at the bottom of the glass tube. Either way, use the stickers on the housing to get your lamp number and order a bulb. Rivervalleyelectronics.net is a great place to look. I use them all the time. Any osram or philips bulb off ebay will work fine too. Email me directly if you need further assistance. Cfoley@hawaii.rr.com Good Luck
