2-9e error on your pioneer means (generally) dirty or scratched media.
It means - it cannot read the data on the disc.

It CAN mean any of the following....

Scratched disc
Improper media
Bad burn/copy of disc
Improperly adjusted laser - requires an alignment
Dirty Laser Lense (smokers will experience this more often)
Laser failure

Since it is happening with different types of media, the latter are the most likely culprits.

There is nothing you can do as an end-user. It must be taken to an authorized Pioneer service center. Pioneer will not sell parts (if needed) to non-authorized repair shops.

Typically - they will require a small deposit ($25 or so) to crack the unit open and check the laser operation and gauge the laser. They will put together a quote and let you know the price before fixing.... and the deposit comes off the final bill.

If it is working and needs to be cleaned/adjusted - look at a bill around $50 (less the deposit).

Don't waste your $$ on CD lense cleaners - they do not work!

It means the power is off or went off to unit . Check for power then power cycle unit to try and restart .

Error 11 usually means "Dirty Disc" so you should check that the CD is not dirty and clean it. You can also clean the CD deck (laser) with one of those CD-player cleaning kits. This link explains some of the common errors: Page 36 of Pioneer Multi CD control High power CD player with FM AM...

Dirty, Clean disc, Scratched disc, Replace disc, The disc is loaded upside down, Check that the disc is loaded correctly.

You can't fix. THis is a disc error code. This means that the Traverse assembly is damaged in some way. Only way to repair is to replace.

Those errors mean that there is an electrical or mechanical system fault. The pioneer website suggests to turn the car ingition off and on again, or press the power ON/OFF button on the display unit and try to play the CD again.

That seems like the obvious solution to me, which Im sure you have already done. You can try to contact Pioneer for more info.

"Error code 11 is more specific, however, indicating that the player’s read laser cannot focus properly, most likely due to a fault with the disc."

Try a different CD, or you may have to have the laser cleaned.
