I couldn't find a schematic but...

The red and black wires go to the subwoofer.
The white and black wires are main level inputs that go to the toroid.
The blue, green and black wires are the output from the rectifier.
Tthe green is your negative rail while the black is 0v and the blue is positive

Like does it put out any sound at all? A little humming maybe or static white noise? Is it physically or structurally damaged?

Logitech Z313 Speakers stopped producing sound, I have tried playing music, the green bar showing music is moving (under the speaker button on windows 7), but the speakers are not giving off a sound.

Pretty much the same happened to me. There are two wires coming from the wired remote control. One has a green plug which plugs into your sound system (computer sound) and the other connects to the Sub Woofer assembly. Feel this later cable for a harden section. It will probably be closer to the Subwoofer, but may be anywhere along it. This cable will have been cooked by overheating (Playing sound at full volume for over long periods of time.) . You will feel probably a 6" to1' section that is a tad stiffer and the plastic will crumble. You will need to cut a few inches into the normal cable and remove the bad section. Then strip and tin, the cables and connect them individually . Connect (tin, solder and seal them individually: ground to ground, white to white, red to red, blue to blue, green to green, purple to purple). Depending on the electrical tape you use- there will be a thick bulge in the cord, but it should work fine... or you can connect the severed cable to the original source to avoid the bulge ... but I did not want to shorten my remote any more than I had to.

How do i hook up logitech speakers #z313 to my desktop i need a diagram

Phone jack on woofer goes into computer tower (should be color coded green) and power cable on woofer plugs into 120VAC. Speaker phone jack plugs into back of woofer. The speaker cable has an on-off switch and volume control as well as a phone jack for your headset.

Phone plug on subwoofer plugs into phone jack on back of tower! Plug and jack are color coded green. If you plug into wrong jack you get no sound or intermittent sound. Also speaker cables have an on-off swith so make sure you are switched "on" or you will not get sound.

My speakers wont play music - I only get a very loud humming sound, they had been working only a few hours before.

Check the connector jack at the back of your computer it might have a loose contact on it or not properly inserted to the connector.

How do i open the sub-woofer unit?

the speaker is were you can access the inside. you need to gently pry the speaker mesh off the outer ring. then you will see the screws that hold that speaker on. most any type of glue will work. you will want to set it on its face until it has com pleated bonding. dave@jadalovephotography.com
