Bajaj Pulsar 150cc Dtsi right side indicator working but showing inactive in the meter guage panel, left side indicator is not working but showing active in the meter guage panel. pls sugges me what to...

Hi, I would check the bulb[s] on the side that doesn't work. You may find the relay that switches the indicators needs all bulbs to be good to operate correctly. If you get all the indicators to work and the meter panel still shows inactive (I assume you mean the warning light does not work) then check the light in the meter panel.

How to use

Voltage testers and volt meters are two different things. A meter will provide a an indication of the exact voltage and type AC or DC. A tester on the other hand simply provides an indication of presence of power with little to no indication of how much or type.

AC power is what is provided by most power companies in the world. DC is a type of power provided by batteries and DC power supplies. If your tester or meter has provisions to check for AC and DC, you should check for BOTH. If AC power is present and you are have set your meter to test for DC power, your meter will indicate 0 volts. You can see this can be a dangerous condition. Most simple testers will not care if AC or DC power is being tested and the types that use neon lamps will usually glow differently for AC and DC power.

When setting up for testing voltage, you must test across the power source (or in "parallel") or load (such as a light bulb), as opposed to "in series" with the power source. Across would be from the + to - post of a battery, into the slots of an outlet, etc. "In series" is when the tester would be completing a circuit - such as testing across an open switch.

First, check the meter's operation by testing a known good power source by following the next steps. Set the meter for the type power to be tested. Choose AC if unsure. Next, set the meter for the highest voltage range supported. Make sure this range is higher than the expected voltage, otherwise damage to the meter may result. Connect the probes to the power source. Read the meter. If the meter moved only slightly, adjust the range of the meter to the next lower value. You can keep adjusting downward as needed to get the most precise reading possible - but do not set the range to a value less than the voltage present. A 0-300 volt scale is the lowest to measure a 240 volt outlet - switching to a 0 - 150 volt scale will damage the meter. The 0 - 150 volt scale would be fine for measuring 120 volt outlets.

If the meter did not move, change the type from AC to DC. and repeat. If it still does not work, the meter is not working correctly (if testing a know good source) or there is no power present (if the meter worked on a known good power source).

Good luck!

Crusie control dont work

You could test the point that power enters these devices when set to on for the presence of 12 -14VDC, while connecting the other lead of the tester to a point that is grounded. If your meter or tester indicates power is present, then it is indeed a ground problem. You'll need to figure out a way to restore the ground path to the device. If however, there is no indication of power, you'll need to test the wire(s) going back to the power source - fuse block, circuit breaker, fusible link, etc.

Don't forget to look for secondary fuse blocks under the hood, under a seat in the cabin, etc. Consult your owner's manual for the location of these power points and circuit safety devices.

Good luck!

Have a jet 3 power chair will not take a charge, can't tell that iy is charging

Cathey when you plug in the charger look at the rear of the chair at the meter if the chair is charging then the meter will indicate some amperage reading when it is fully charged the meter will read zero. Also turn on the chair and if the lights are scrolling or flashing it shows that the charger is plugged in. Now if after the meter reads zero (if it ever does) the lights on the joystick should all be lit indicating a full charge. If you aren't getting all the lights and the meter indicated the charger was working then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

When checking the meter reading on my canon ir c5185, there are the following codes before the totals: 101 102 108 230 321 322. Can you tell me their meanings?

Hello joe, hope you are well.Canon copiers have literally hundreds of "meters " that the device is constantly monitoring.Things like the number of 11x17 scans, reports printed, incoming faxes, outgoing faxes, prints at 600 dpi....etc.Its wild. The device is capable of displaying to the customer a total of six meters. The displayed meters may be customized for the customer by a technician as per the customers request or needs. Each meter is named by a number, for example "101".That particular meter indicates the total of how many sheets of paper(regardless of size) that have successfully exited the machine.102 meter indicates the total number of sheets that have been output using 8.5 X 11' as the basis. So a sheet of 11x17 paper would increment the 101 meter once, but the 102 meter would "click" twice. For billing purposes my company keeps an eye on the 102 meter to maximize profit,as it should be.Now how Canon determined the display of the other meters you see is a mystery.Again there is a meter named 958,which is the number of documents scanned to the MAILBOX. So, to completely answer your question: 108 is the total black and white copies made regardless of size.230 is just color and monocolor regardless of size.321 is{your gonna love this one}color prints on 11x17.322 is color prints on 8.5x11.So there ya' go! TMI city!!! Hope this helps.

LG Tromm Dryer will not get hot. It is about two years old. I have no flow sense indicator bars and no type of blockage. The model # is DLE5955W The S/N is 708KWDJ04154. Any help will be great. ...

Usually the heater element needs to be replaced. Since your is just 2 years old, you may want to take off the back panel and turn it on to see if the blower is working. IT the heater is on but the blower is not working then you have no heat. Don't confuse the blower assembly with the moter to turns the drum, since they are 2 different entities. If the blower is on then your heater element is the culprit. Good Luck.

I have a GE gas dryer and the ignitor is a WE4X750. I tested the ohms and I get no resistance. Does that indicate it is bad for sure?

Generic comment:

No resistance indicates "short" (completed circuit). NO reading is not necessarily no resistance. Are you using a digital or analog meter? Do you have a reference value from the manufacturer?

If you measured a piece of wire, your digital reading would be zero, your analog reading would be "short" and probably zero (the needle would move to the other end of the scale). If you measure air, (a known burned out light bulb for example) your digital reading would be floating (nothing) while your analog reading would be no movement of the needle on the meter.

I would expect an ignitor would indicate some resistance (that would cause heat).

You probably already know this stuff.

Can you see where the thing is located? I think Id be looking for an orange glow as I turned the device on ... that would indicate it was working.
