Question about Garden

If your getting a clicking noise that would be at your solenoid. if you can take a screwdriver and place it across the two post the two large red wires are connected to and it kicks in the starter on the engine you need to replace the solenoid. be sure to hold the handle while doing this and not the metal part of the screwdriver. and don't be startled when it arcs and starter kicks in. how this works is when you turn the key power travels down a small wire from the ignition switch down to the solenoid little post and closes the connection between the two larger post with the red wires to engage the starter. sometimes the connection inside between the two large post isn't made and the solenoid becomes no good. by crossing over between the two large post externally with a screwdriver your doing the same thing as turning the key to start. you can start the mower that way until you get a replacement solenoid. just be sure to have key on when jumping across.if you want it to stay running. Good Luck
