Since I didn't have a manul, I downloaded one from Scott's and used that to calibrate the spreader which was out of calibration.

There is no correlation between the letters on your C2 to the numbers that are now used on newer spreader models. Your best bet is to do your own test. Measure a 50 x 20 foot area in your lawn. Place enough material in your hopper to cover 1000 sq ft. Set your spreader setting on a ¼ of your spreader setting range. Spread the material over the 50 x 20 foot area. If you have product left over you increase your spreader setting. If you come up short you decrease your spreader setting. While this is not exact it will give you the ballpark setting

I am sorry that neither spreader performed as they should have. Does the product you are using list any Scotts AccuGreen spreader settings? If so, you can safely use the spreader settings listed for the Scotts AccuGreen. If your product does not list any spreader settings, please give Scotts a call at 866-465-5160.
